NOTE: THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A 5.9L CUMMINS HIGH OUTPUT TURBO DIESEL (SALES CODE ETH) AND NV5600 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION (SALES CODE DEE) BUILT
ON OR BEFORE MAY 11, 2003 (MDH 0511XX).

Overview:
This bulletin involves replacing the clutch disc with a revised part.

Symptom/Condition:
Vehicle operator may describe a rattle sound when idling in neutral and the clutch pedal is released.

Diagnosis:
If the sound is present, depress the clutch pedal. If the sound is not present when the clutch pedal is depressed, perform the Repair Procedure.

Repair Procedure: 

1.    Replace the clutch disc (p/n 52107775AC). Refer to the service information available in TechCONNECT/MDS2 or the 2003 Ram Truck Service Manual (Publication No. 81-370-03059) page 6-6.

Policy:    Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.

Time Allowance:
Labor Operation No:  06-20-01-92 Disc, Clutch - Replace ....................2.6 Hrs.

Failure Code:  V1 - Rattle
