Scratching Sound From The Door Seal While Driving

Discussion:

This bulletin involves lubricating the secondary door seal.

Symptom/Condition:
A scratching or itching type sound may be heard, coming from the front door opening.

Diagnosis: 

If a customer indicates that the condition is present, perform the Repair Procedure.

Repair Procedure: 

Clean the secondary door seal using an appropriate solvent and apply a coating of Weather Seal Lubricant, P/N 04773427 to the secondary weather seal as shown in Figure 1.
