Interior Window Film Build Up

DISCUSSION:
Interior window or windshield film build up may occur on newer vehicles. This is caused by interior trim material, especially vinyl, releasing chemical agents (gasses) that adhere to the glass. This condition becomes less of a problem as the vehicle gets older.

REPAIR:
1. Following the package directions, clean all windows that exhibit film build.

 NOTE: REPEATED CLEANING WITH THIS PRODUCT WILL ENHANCE THE RESISTANCE OF THE GLASS TO  FILM BUILD UP.

My note: I use a product called "Glass Wax" which has been around for a long time. Glass wax cleans almost anything from automotive glass and slows future film build-up. It is usually found in a 1 qt pink can and is fairly easy to find at True Value and many "old time" hardware stores.
