NOTE: THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO ALL VEHICLES THAT HAVE AFTER-MARKET ACCESSORIES GROUNDED TO THE FRAME.
Discussion:
If electrical accessories (such as winch, trailer brakes, lights, snow plow, etc.) are added to the vehicle, a frame ground jumper wire must be added. This ground is necessary as the Ram Truck body has rubber mounts isolating the frame electrically from the rest of the vehicle.
NOTE: THE CARGO BOX OF THE VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A GROUND POINT ANYTIME. EVEN AFTER ADDING THE GROUND JUMPER WIRE THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT GROUNDING FROM THE CARGO BOX.
The frame ground jumper wire should be attached between the battery negative terminal and the bumper bracket (see figure below for ground bolt location).
Parts Required:

| AR | 4798054 | Frame Ground Jumper (Gasoline Engine) |
| AR | 4798055 | Frame Ground Jumper (Diesel Engine) |
