THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO 2500 SERIES CAB CHASSIS VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 8800 GVW LOAD CAPACITY (SALES CODE XBC).

Symptom/Condition:

The vehicle May appear low at the rear when loaded near the GVW.  

Diagnosis:

Inspect the vehicle when loaded. If the vehicle is low in the rear, perform the repair procedure.

• 2 52038529 Front Shock Absorber - Diesel Engine 4X2
• 2 52038441 Front Shock Absorber - Gasoline Engine 4X4

• 2 52038615 Rear Shock Absorbers - 4X2
• 2 52038527 Rear Shock Absorbers - 4X4 2 52039224 Rear Leaf Springs - 4X2
• 2 52039228 Rear Leaf Springs - 4X4  

Repair Procedure:

This bulletin involves replacing the shock absorbers and rear leaf springs.

1.    Using the procedures outlined in the 1994 Ram Truck Service Manual (Publication No. 81-370-4108), Page 2-12, remove and replace the front shock absorbers with the parts selected from the Parts Required section.

2.     Using the procedures outlined in the 1994 Ram Truck Service Manual (Publication No. 81-370-4108), beginning on Page 3-3, remove and replace the rear shock absorbers and rear springs with the parts selected from the Parts Required section.
