Discussion:

Two different track bars have been used in production for 1994 Ram Trucks.

• Vehicles built before 02/02/94 (NDH 02-02-XX) use P/N 52038637.
• Vehicles built after 02/23/94 (NDH 02-23-XX) use P/N 52038596.
• Vehicles built between 02/02/94 and 02/23/94 may have been built with either track bar depending on the specific build configuration.

To determine which track bar is required, measure the thickness of the track bar fram rail bracket at the stud area as shown in the illustration. Vehicles with a bracket thickness of 22.8 m use P/N 52038637 and vehicles with a bracket thickness of 29.5 m use P/N 52038596. These parts are not interchangeable as P/N 52038596 has a larger ball stud. Care should be used to select the correct track bar when servicing these vehicles.
