Finance Dept. - The finance manager would continually try to add the $199 for
window etching onto the finance paper work when I continually stated I do not
want it included and that I would pay for it separately. Delivery - allowed
almost 24 hours to prep the vehicle for delivery. The truck wasn't ready. When
they did bring the truck to me it was covered in water spots. There was also
mud on the rear bench seat (Leather seats), the plug for the tie down in the
bed was missing, the front left tire was low on air and missing the valve cap,
and the state safety sticker had not been applied nor the temp tag. I had to
wait an additional 2 hours to take delivery and that was with almost 24 hours
to prep the truck. Also once I took delivery I found the truck to pull to the
right, no little pull either. Service dept - I scheduled truck to be brought
in 3 days in advance. I was told I would be able to get a ride back to work.
I didn't get that courtesy ride. Upon arriving I waited 20 minutes to get the
truck turned in. It took 3 hours to redo the front-end alignment. I received
the truck back straight from the mechanic returning from the test drive. My
mirrors and seats were all moved out of place. Also when I got the truck on
the road the pull to the right was exactly as it was when I brought it in. I
called the service manager's boss and he basically told me nothing, was very
disinterested in what I had to say and told me he didn't believe it took 3 hours.
He did not seem to be concerned and offered no solution to the bad service or
the fact the truck still had the identical problem I brought it in with. Salesman
- I did business with the salesman because I liked him. However, when I called
and told him my issues from delivery, finance and service, stating I didn't
seem to have much trust in the dealership, the salesman seemed to be disinterested
and stated he was sorry I felt this way. Also he said if I needed warranty service
I could go to any dealership for that. Seems like once the sale was made the
customer service stopped. I also asked the salesman to have the owner of the
dealership call me. That was 4 days ago and I still haven't received a phone
call from anyone. Overall rating = Avoid them like the plague.

Sales=Excellent,
Service=Excellent,
The Sales department was excellent, and no more than the usual price haggling.
I made myself clear when I stated the max monthly amount I would pay, and would
not flex. I received an honest trade in price for my 1998 Ram Quad, of which
I only owed $7,400. I was out of the dealership in a total of 3 hours, and with
a free three piece bug deflector (Mopar) to boot. I was in a hurry, and was
able to take my truck down the next day, and receive a complete detailing. I
realize I am a neat freak, and could have done better myself...but they did
a pretty good job overall. I took my truck back once so far, about 3 days after
purchasing it for a pull to the right in the steering. I scheduled an appointment,
and had the alignment redone...and picked up my truck that same afternoon.....and
they accurately diagnosed the problem as a bad alignment...and when I picked
up my truck, the alignment problem was no more. For me, the service dept was
courteous, accurate, and did things in a timely manner to boot. No complaints
here. Fred Oakley Motors is a fair and honest dealership, who in my opinion
is deserving of the Five Star Dealer Status Chrylser Corporation has bestowed
upon them. I was treated with respect, and received in my opinion a good deal
overall. If you are in the DFW metroplex I recommend stopping by Fred Oakley
Motors, and seeing what they can do for you...

Don't Know, Service=Avoid
I went there to have some warranty work done. The first time I went, the service
advisor said that indeed my complaint was valid and it would be fixed when the
car was brought back in to install another part that had to be replaced. He
told me that this particular part was regulated and would have to be installed
within 10 days of delivery. He would call me when it was in. Not hearing anything
from the dealership, I called back 2 weeks later. "Yes maam, the parts not in
yet." No problem. No news for 2 more weeks. I call back. "We have no record
of your work order and that part was never ordered." When I spole to the supervisor,
the story was "Oh, that part is in, we've been trying to get a hold of you."
I took the car in and they replaced the part, but now, even though no repair
work was done on the other problem, "there is no problem" according to them.
Avoid them, no one needs another headache.
