Bought used Dodge Gr. Caravan- problems almost immediately with motor/transmission-
bought extended powertrain warranty- service depart. very cold responding to
our problem- finally did install new transmission and perform motor work according
to purchased additional warranty. Had to return vehicle to dealership after
repairs because of horrible noise after repairs- turns out they did not fill
motor back up with oil. Have had multiple vehicle problems since purchase. Went
to South Hills Chrysler Plymouth to trade in vehicle in July 2004, on Sedona.
Salesman would not do "workup" of figures in front of us had to keep
running off somewhere? SIgns were posted that there was a $2500 incentive for
buyers of new Sedona's, however salesman only offered us $1500. When called
on his "error" got very uncomfortable. Salesman wanted to give us
far less on our Dodge Gr. Caravan trade-in. Not even a fair price - a joke!
Overall, salesman will do anything for a sale. Some people in the service department
are rude, while others are very professional. Every time I have taken vehicle
for service or repair, I have had to wait a long time- sometimes several hours.
I do not know how South Hills Chrysler Plymouth has come to be a "certified
5 Star Dealer". My family will not ever shop at SHCP again. If I had been
treated with respect, honesty and fairness, I would be a loyal customer of SHCP.
However, after the subsequent treatment after the sale and then again, when
trying to trade the initial vehicle, I could not recommend anyone go to SHCP
of a vehicle. I have told several people (and will continue to do so) about
SHCP. If you are not able to treat the customer with respect, honesty and fairness,
you do not deserve any endorsement.
