I own a 2000 Dodge ram 1500, that had a strange problem with the transmission
freewheeling when it had sat for a long period of time. The dealership was near
my work and I needed the vehicle checked out before a long trip. They took it
in said they would get a tech on it, and asked if I would like it washed before
I picked it up. After work I came back to find a dirty-un-washed truck and a
$105 bill waiting for me. I was told they "looked" at the truck and
didn't know what was wrong with it, they would need to pull the transmission
out and tear it apart to find out what was wrong
with it and that would be $350 just to start. I asked them what they did when
they "looked" at it and they said they drove it around the lot and
checked the fluid! They never hooked up a single diagnostic tool to the diag.
port, never did a thing and wanted me to give them $105 for nothing! Needless
to say I complained to their cust serv dept, got my money back and took it to
a different mechanic I could trust who ran a diag on it and found out it was
a simple anti-drainback valve malfunction not a complete transmission rebuild/replacement!

Great place to do business. No high pressure and straight foreword without the
games of Lithia in Eugene. Didn't take my keys and refuse to give them back
until I said yes to their deal. Excellent service department who got it right
0n the first attempt. An example for other Dodge dealerships to follow.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid, Had low power, low boost and high EGT.
Dealer claimed it was the lift pump (which should have been under warranty.
Since I had a VA Box installed they called DC and had them void my warranty
and charged me $600.00 for the lift pump. That didn't solve the problem so they
sent me to Cummins NW who found a pack rat had made a nest in the filter box.
They charged me an additional $300.00 for the diagnosis Kendall couldn't do.
I would never buy or have a vehicle serviced there again. I would rather be
towed 500 miles to a non- five star dealership!

Sales=Excellent, Service=Don't Know, Israel Rothman does their Internet
sales. Honest man, will place an order with no contract or deposit required.
Answers email questions within 24 hrs. Would go out of my way to do business
with him again. So far this has been the best new vehicle buying experience
I've had. No high pressure sales. You tell them what you want and they give
it to you with a smile
