On April 11, 2005 I had a scheduled oil change on my SX 2.0. My appointment
was booked for 1:30 p.m. and because i was unable to make my own pick-up arrangements
I arrived at the dealership 1 1/2 hours prior to my appointment. When I arrived
I asked about shuttle availability and was looked at like I had the plague,
and then was told it would be about a 30 minute wait, which fit into my schedule
as I didn't need to be back to school(I am a college student) until 1p.m. I
was told to wait in the waiting area, when I asked how to know when the shuttle
driver would be back I was
told "they look into the waiting area to see if anyone needs a ride"
after waiting for about 50 minutes I left the dealership to cross the street
for lunch when I got back about 40 mins later I noticed that my car was parked
in a different place so I went in to pay assuming that it had been finished.
When I walked in as I approached the desk they said "may I help you"
and I responded yes I am here to pay for my service, during payment process
I asked if the shuttle driver had yet returned because after to close to an
hour of waiting I had given up and left and the response offered to me was "huh??
yah he has come and go a couple of times -why??" When I explained what
happened the sales associate just stopped making eye contact with me and never
spoke another word for the rest of the transaction. I truly hope this is a medium
that addresses the problem of bad customer service and not just a sounding board.
While a few dealerships have made arrangements to use this board to address
problems, for most of them I have no contact information and this is just a
sounding board. Dave

We bought a Ram 1500 4X4 from them, and almost instantly, any concern was our
imagination. When the heater stopped working at -40C we were told there was
nothing wrong. After 7 return trips they finally decided to fix it, might have
something to do with the email I sent to Dodge Customer Service. The manager
was nice after that. The cruise control took a few days to fix, they couldn't
reprogram it. The whining noise in the engine compartment when its cold out
has not been addressed, maybe this winter. Weather stripping allowed snow and
rain to pack up in the door hinges, thins was 2 days after buying the truck,
we were told that we needed mud flaps, never put them on but a year later they
replaced weather stripping. Any parts took from 2 days to six weeks to get,
fan motor was the worst and was in the middle of winter. Truck froze up once
had it towed to dealer on weekend, by customer service, on Monday service dude
called and demanded we explain why the truck was left and then told us there
was nothing wrong, I told him we were not returning rental until it was fixed.
They kept it for almost 2 weeks.

8% Markup over MSRP on all parts due to monopoly in Thunder Bay. Every other
dealership telephoned for identical parts gave 20% reduction below MSRP. Service
department unsure how to repair DaimlerChrysler vehicles. Eventually had vehicle
repaired at a non DaimlerChrysler dealership for less than one third the price.
Vehicle always returned in dirtier condition. Had exposed screws in the cab
as mechanic had forgotten to reassemble inner console.
