Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
Were should I start. We bought a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500. We were quoted a price
with a trade in vehicle. After several meetings my husband was "pressured"
to buy. Then we found out that the bank would not take our trade in and our
salesman advised that we turn the Blazer over to the bank and start over with
the Dodge. No matter how you look at it, it is a repossession. Of course we
sold the Blazer. The payment without the trade went up, how that happened who
knows. Then we were told that we would have to put 1900.00 down on the truck.
We were also told that it was a loan for the deposit and we would have sixty
days to pay off the down payment. The truck was delivered and that night we
heard a knocking noise under the hood. Within 2 days we had into the service
department. They said all was ok and it was just noisy lifters. We took it to
another dealership and found out it was the entire lower half of the engine
that needed to be replaced. It was covered under warranty. But we were without
the truck for almost a month. Then we got the truck back and within 3 days the
truck would not go into reverse. We then found out that the reverse was gone
in the truck and had to have the transmission rebuilt and without for another
week. Then I started to get collection calls on the deposit. It seems they took
my check (which I was told was a loan) and turned it into the bank. We made
an appointment to speak with the dealership. We were told they would do nothing.
All the work was covered under warranty and the deposit was part of the deal.
We were told they were sorry but the salesman must have not understood that
the deposit needed to be paid for at time of delivery. According to them they
used to work with a company that did loans. We have spoke with many people at
the dealership. They all blame each other and no one is willing to help. I will
never buy a vehicle from them or have any vehicle serviced there. I hope you
read this and never go to Irondequoit Dodge.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
we were about to purchase a 2002 caravan from them and they were so pushy and
misleading. They tried to push us into something we did not want and then told
us that b/c of our credit we could only qualify for certain types of vehicles
that we were not interested in. however when they found out that several other
dealers approved us for what we wanted they quickly changed tactics and tried
to force us to buy from them. When we told them we believed we were going to
wait awhile and think things through, they became very nasty and rude with us.
Then had the nerve to call and still try to push the deal. Horrible.

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
I have a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan, In 2002, the transmission has gone bad and
the engine is on it's 3rd trip (all lifters have been replaced???? now it needs
oil about every 500 miles and they speak to me as if it is my fault) Is this
a LEMON or Service Dept not doing their job?
