My experience was terrible at Denny Heckler Forest Lake. I bought a 2004 Pacifica and was a give a 90 day/3000 miles warranty. From day one, several problems showed up in the car. I live 200 miles from the dealer. So 4 weeks later I managed to schedule an appointment to have these problems fixed. They checked the car and said it will cost me $1100 to fix it because I bought the car "as is". I said no, I have a 90 day warranty but I don't have it on me right now. The sales rep Doug talked down to me and ridiculed me. Once I returned home, I scanned the warranty and emailed to them. No one cared to respond. They ripped me off and I advise every body to avoid Denny Heckler. They are just a bunch of unprofessional, whining, dishonest people.

Forest Lake Dodge ripped me off. I brought my van in for service and explained what the problem was. They said they found many more problems that I think they fabricated. After they said they fixed the problem I left and within 20 miles I realized the problem still existed. I am a woman that doesn't even know how to change her own oil but I decided to look under the hood. As soon as I looked at the motor I saw that there was insulation in plain view. I stopped at another service station and they vacuumed out the mouse nest and I have driven my van over 200 miles since then and it has worked fine. I am very upset that after they wanted my to spend almost $1000, but decided to only do about $500 worth of repairs, that their "highly trained technicians" could not see something so simple that could have saved me a lot of money. I think Forest Lake Dodge was trying to scam me! I will never go back to them!!
Avoid Denny Heckler's Forest Lake Chrysler Dodge!

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent, Parts=Excellent, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Yes,
I bought my 2002 Cummins there, stopped back often because I was given free lifetime washes (gotta Love that), on one of my wash trips I saw a 2002 Jeep that I ended up buying for my wife. I bought them both from Hugh McCloud who is not there anymore. Hugh was the best salesman I have ever dealt with, and the only one I felt I could trust. I sent my brother and a friend in to deal with Hugh and they both bought new Rams from him. I wish I knew what dealer Hugh went to, because I would follow him there. Service Dept seems to be adequate, but the ticked me off once when I had the wife's Jeep in for an engine miss. They said that it needed plugs (no warranty), as it was 1200 miles over the service interval. It turned out to be an overheating injector. Other than that, they have been great the 2 times I have had my Cummins in there, so I will still give them and excellent rating.
Find Hugh and hire him back....he was the best thing that ever happened to that place.....

I recently bought a 1999 Dodge Ram 4x4 from this dealership and had a very good experience! The sales people were very friendly and seemed to know the vehicles that they sell. If I had a question, they answered it very quickly and with an intelligent answer. I got a 3 month 3,000 miles dealer warranty with the truck when I bought it. About a week after I had the truck, I noticed that it was losing power. I brought it back to have some warranty work done. It needed a new intake manifold gasket. They put the gasket in with no questions asked and also gave me a brand new SUV to drive while it was in the shop. A few weeks later I noticed that the transmission was acting up. I brought the truck back. A mechanic took the truck for a ride with me in the truck. At first it didn't act up but he decided that he would drive it until it did act up. Eventually the tranny did act up. We went back to the dealership and they rebuilt the transmission at NO CHARGE to me and also gave me a brand new SUV to drive. The people here are very nice and if I buy another DODGE, it will be from them.

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
The service department does not get there work done on time. They often do not get the work done right the first time. While the truck was getting near the end of the warranty they engine started to idle rough, they claimed "they all do that". I told them to try fix the problem but they started claiming if it turned out to be spark plugs or wires etc. that it would not be covered under warranty.......they obviously don't understand what "bumper to bumper" means. They did look at it and said nothing was wrong, I ended up changing the spark plug wires myself and that took care of the problem......I guess there mechanics are not smart enough to figure that out. I have had other problems with them and usually had poor results also.
