I just called Chrysler customer assistance 800-992-1997 5pm iwas told that Mt Clemens Dodge is waiting for approval from me to start repairs. When I dropped it off 11am I was told "we will call you in two hours" 0/15/2007 on 09/20/2007 I bought 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Mt Clemens Dodge ,inc. 43774 Gratiot, Clinton Twp. MI 48036 (586) 463-1521 fich #iog15211a. My salesman named 'bill' told me that buying this jeep will be the same as a new car because of all the warranties. All of Mt Clemens Dodge rep. including the finance guy said "if you have to bring the jeep in for any service you will get a free rental car while your Jeep is in for service "this morning bill [Mt Clemens Dodge salesman] called me and said "I never told you that you would get a free rental car, I just want to make that clear so I don’t get in trouble with my boss'. My jeep is there now and I did not get a free rental. What am I to say to this man? He is holding all the cards. I brought the car in three times for service But they would not take the jeep in for service. The Service eng soon light came on, the front tires went bald and the transmission is locking up. $15,000.00 is Price on this car. The reason I got this jeep and paid so much is the dodge dealer said I had nothing to worry about. I have a baby, fulltime job and no dependable transportation. Mt Clemens Dodge ran a large number of credit checks on me to get their financing. I can’t buy anything on time because of this. All of this is not as it should be. It’s becoming a nightmare. It’s less then 3000 miles, less then 30 days. I have had it in 3 times for service and Mt Clemens Dodge has done nothing to satisfy my poor transportation. I want a refund. I don’t want this lemon. I wouldn’t buy any car from Mt Clemens Dodge because of all of this. Please help me! For $15,000.00 I should have been put in a new car! Not conned in to this lemon. Replace this lemon with a brand new car/SUV with all warranties that I was told by there staff. A public apology so this does not happen to anyone else plus reimburse all money that I paid for fuel and transportation and time to get back and forth to Mt Clemens Dodge and to work and home, baby sitter because of this lemon

Currently have a lease through them on a Dodge truck and was interested in turning it in for a Durango with the sign and drive specials advertised. Upon calling them three different times I was told 3 different amounts that I would have to pay to lease another vehicle. When I mentioned I previously did the one time pay method the last time I leased but would not be doing that again they responded as if I no longer was a valuable potential lease customer and couldn't get me off the phone fast enough.
You can be sure I won't be using them again nor will I advise anyone to use them for any type of car sales. You would think at a time car sales are incredibly low dealerships would re-think their customer service. Your actions speak loudly even over a telephone wire.
Don’t buy from Mt Clemens Dodge Clinton Twp.

I spoke to a new car sales rep today. He was the rudest most arrogant salesperson I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. My kids went in to buy a used car and ended up with a leased vehicle. My son-in-law went to get a vehicle as my daughter had just bought a Chevy 60 days ago. My daughter called and told me she was going to trade her car in and lease a new Dodge. The salesman told her how much money he could save her and that the Chevy dealer screwed her. I told her no way not until I got out to Ohio (She and her husband are stationed there) I would help her.
She was told she would get one interest rate yet they put the paperwork through at another. I could her the salesman in the background putting pressure on her. I asked to speak to him. When he got on the phone I told him I did not appreciate him trying to "twist her arm" and that if this lease deal is so "Great" it will still be available next month when I come out. He launched into a barrage of of insults, yelling about how she would have a car that would take six years to be paid off and be able to get 2,500 for it if she was lucky. He got personal and asked what I did for a living when I told him I owned my own business he implied that I must pressure people into buy (not true) but I felt it was not worth discussing. He starts in about how I did not want to talk about it because what he was saying made sense. I felt I had stepped back in time 20 years with the tactics this man tried to use. I would avoid this place like the plague.

I bought a 2003 Dodge Durango at this dealership. The sales guy Keith H. was pretty nice. I had to have a few minor things serviced on two occasions. Mark Lafata was very friendly and always went that extra mile to make sure that I felt comfortable and that I was happy with the service.
Both times he was terrific as well as the other guys. If I ever have any service concerns, I would gladly go back. I would also recommend them to family and friends.

Took my 1997 Dakota In for the check engine light They charged me $2,300 for 2 new heads and plug wires, I brought it back 8 more times for the check engine light, Service Write up (advisor) Mark Lafata who is no a Certified Mechanic would rest the code with The TSB encoder, he told me it was a misfire and my heads needed to be replaced again they would not warranty them only a few weeks old. I was pissed and talked a Service Manager what a waste of time he was Dumb as dirt!!! I stormed out of there went to autozone had them check the code and what did the find it read that my catalytic converter was clogged and I need it Replaced so I went to muffler shop they also stated it was bad install new one code cleared out by it's self And to this day it run's great (280K) miles on it now.
I did some research and found out that Mark Lafata File the paper work with Dodge and they warranty the work and they also got 2300.00 cash from my pocket. Screw Mark Lafata And Ken Demeyer Service manager YOU ALL SUCK!!!!!!!

Excellent Sales and Service I bought a 2001 Ram 4x4 and have had a minor and a major problem repaired fast and right. The sales staff was honest with five sales in the past 18 years. They have the best diesel technicians in metro Detroit. Excellent repair facility Honest, reliable, go extra mile. Never give up on a problem. Love this dealer!

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
I leased a Caravan from this dealership in March of 2002. This dealership bought out the remaining 6 months of a lease I had on a Voyager leased through Provident bank. Provident bank refused to take back my trade-in until the lease expired (Oct 02) even though the lease was paid off. Mt. Clemens Dodge said they if I leased a vehicle from them, they would store my trade-in for 6 months then turn it in in Oct. I called Craig Hampton (salesman) as he requested me too, in late Sept to remind him to make arrangements to get my Voyager out of storage and turn it in to Provident bank. He told me we had no agreement for him or this dealership to turn in my Voyager. He said I would have to make all the arrangements and turn the vehicle in myself. I spoke to a manager (Ken Davis) who said they would never agree to such a deal. It's funny they promised me the world to get me into a new lease from their dealership, but they hosed me when it came time for them to turn in my Voyager. Ken Davis said he would have my Voyager pulled from storage the day before my turn in date, have it looked over, and have it washed. I showed up to get my Voyager and discovered it was never pulled from storage, and had several scratches and dings that weren't there when I turned it in. The antenna was also missing, and when I spoke with some so-called manager of the used car dept where the the van was stored, he told me it wasn't his problem. They finally put a antenna on after arguing with them for an hour, and I was finally done with this deal. I will never buy or lease from Mt. Clemens Dodge ever again, and will encourage my friends and family (loyal customers) not to buy or lease any more vehicles from them either. Very poor customer relations. NEVER AGAIN........

Went to buy a used caravan, was offered a test drive. Jay the salesman said he needed my drivers license to make a photocopy. After the test drive & sales pitch I asked for my license back, he "couldn't find it" it. After they looked for about a half hour they flat out admitted they did not know where it went and offered to reimburse me the expense of getting a new one. I went to the secretary of state & got a new one, then went back for my money. They said they would mail me a check. Two weeks later after no check I stopped in again, was told "the check was in the mail". Needless to say I never did receive a check. BTW I offered to buy the van if they paid the sales tax, which was the same deal I got from a Chrysler dealer in the area. They wouldn't accept my offer so I left. If you like men who give their word and don't stand by it this is definitely your kind of place!

Jan 2002 I went to Mt. Clemens Dodge with a fellow employee who was looking to purchase a Ram truck. I was looking to purchase/ lease a Durango. Todd Trayner our sales person gave the man I was with the key to his Ram to take a test drive, ran reports showing him his lease/ purchase prices; showing prices per year,options, down payments and different finance companies whether her were to purchase of lease. I was told that a Durango would cost over $400.00 a month. (Should of worn my good jeans that day). I did not receive any information that the above person received. The man I was with had to ask Todd twice if he would take me out side and show me some vehicles. He did- without any keys. I had to peer through tinted windows and of course never got a test drive. I now own a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta GLX VR6 - fully loaded. Vyletel Volkswagen had cars lined up for me to test drive; different models, different options, different engines and my sales person was on my phone or e-mail everyday to see if I needed to know anything else.

Sales=Good, Service=Poor,
Large selection of conversion vans. Had to go to service a couple times to get problems fixed. Porter stole money from change holder. Nice people, but not very good service. Haven't been there recently. Going soon to look at vans again because they have the largest selection. Won't take van there for service if I buy one.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
Avoid the service department at this dealer at any expense. They are horrible. The tech's do not know what they are doing. The service writers are complete idiots. By the way, they are 5-star rated, don't ask me how but they are. I haven't heard anything good about this place. After I had problems with the service department, I started talking to other people and they had similar complaints. Take some advice, avoid this place. Love Dodge Trucks, but the qualifications for the so-called 5-star rating needs some serious looking over.

Dealership Rating:
Good sales department, good service
Fair sales, fair service
Conflicting or not enough information
Poor Service or Poor Sales Department
Avoid like the plague!!
Don't Know or No Experience
