Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
Purchased a 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad cab automatic transmission with the Magnum
six. After about 1000 miles I noticed a miss and hesitation between 1500-200
RPMs. I brought the vehicle in for service. It was there for two day in which
time the plugs were changed a power something was replaced and the computer
had an adjustment made. When I picked up I drove it for approx 40 miles and
brought it back, the problem was still there. This time they had it a week during
which time I was in contact with the GM Garry Jenkins who had spoke with his
service manager and they had contacted due to the fact that they could not fix
the problem I was then advised that Chrysler was aware of the problem. What
was needed was a new computer "flash" that had not been developed
yet! In other words the vehicle could not be fixed! One would think that there
dealer would offer an exchange, but the other problem was that all the vehicle
that had the auto transmission with the 6 cylinder had the same problem. IMPORTANT
NOTE. even thought the dealer acknowledged that the same type of vehicle had
this computer problem, they were not going to stop selling them, stating its
chryslers problem not ours!. I wound up being offered a vehicle that was $4,000.
more and about $92.00 more per month. I had no choice due to the act that they
refused to pull the deal. Here's the amazing part. They said that the defective
truck, which I owned for about three weeks, ( 1 and a half in the shop) had
less then 3,000 miles on it had an admitted unrepairable problem, had depreciated
$4,200.00!!!!. I found out why my new payments were $92.00 more. Now here's
the sleazy, underhanded part. Needless to say they inflated the negative equity
of the defective truck. They took a $3,500.00 rebate and applied it to the inflated
negative equity still keeping me in the red for about $1,200.00 If the rebate
was applied to the new truck then the payments would have been more in line.
After threats of law suits, news paper stories, a deal was finally reached.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS. These guys are underhanded dishonest sleazy car salesmen,
and will rip you off and expect a thank you.
These guys are trained to confuse and distort. They assume no responsibility
after they make the sale. Say away from these guys and this dealership

This is the worst automobile dealership/service department I've ever dealt with.
Yes, I would consider buying another DaimlerChrysler product as long as I don't
buy it there or take it for service there.

I have tried to by several company trucks there, and the only offer less than
half of bluebook on a car that is in perfect shape.(Mustang) Especially with
less than 20k miles. Not very friendly either. Avoid.... Other time I tried
to deal with them it was a Ford F150 that was my personal truck. I have purchased
8 Dodge trucks and none of them from Fitz...... yes they give me Fitz..............
They have a very nice radio ad and I wish they would live up to it

I had my truck at the selling dealer and they did nothing for my problem. They
only road tested the truck two miles before they told me "NO PROBLEM FOUND".
Buchanan Dodge in PA is where I bought my truck, and I will never return to
that dealer. Fitzgerald's has me now

Sales=Excellent, Service=Good,
Very nice to deal with. No high pressure sales tactics. Service is always very
busy, but they will go out of their way for people who are reasonable. If you
go off the deep end you won't get anywhere. I would highly recommend this dealership.
Mr. Jenkins is the service manager and is wonderful to work with.
