Had car in 3 times for same issue - when phoning sales department that third attempt did not resolve the problem, the Sales Department rudely told me that it could be anything causing the problem, would not offer to even verify they actually fixed the original problem, and basically blew me off. I have never been treated so rudely my a Service Dealer as I was today - I will NEVER use these people again!

For sales you must see Tim Benoy. If you have seen Tim before talk to him for service, and for parts talk to, guess who, Tim Benoy.

if you are buying - beware!!!! especially when dealing with the senior benoy, this man is a textbook car salesman. he plys his chosen trade very well, got an extra couple of grand out of us in 1998 (this was realized after the fact). if there is a car salesman hall of fame, this guy should have his own wing. we have been taking our dodges there for service for years. mostly fleet work, as well as our personal car. never had a problem with service, larry's always taken care of us.
always go into negotiations prepared. nowadays there is no excuse for not having the information you need to pay the price you want (be reasonable, they are not a charity). be prepared to walk out, they want to sell, so they won't want you to leave.

I was recently in the dealership for service and I had a terrible experience. I talked to Tony on the phone and he was helpful. When I arrived at the dealership for my appointment I talked to Nick. Nick was just about brain-dead and Tony was nowhere to be found. I talked to the parts people to see if they could help, but they told me to wait on the other side of the counter. I finally left and decided that I will never be back. Who runs this place anyway?

The service manager Tony Carlin is the worst, if you thought Larry was bad. you should stop by and meet this egg head. He don't know his butt from a hole in the ground. He's a drop in the bucket. A total fool!!!! He thinks he knows everything; he's a real yo yo....

Excellent experience! Both service and Sales are the best available in northern Illinois. Staff is both friendly and helpful. This is the only dealer I will use.

Sales=Good, Service=Don't Know, bought there=yes, scv_there=No,
I just bought a '93 Dodge Grand Caravan (work auto) from Ray Benoy. Ray and his staff were very friendly and very attentive. I am not from IL and this was my first time purchasing an out of state auto. Where other dealerships would not deal with me because I was from out of state and only had my personal checkbook with me, Ray Benoy worked with me and made it possible for me to drive home that day in a very nice van. I would not hesitate to go back for another auto purchase. My last dealings with a Dodge dealership was with Russ Darrow in Madison WI. Now there's a dealership to avoid. They will sell you a car but they don't honor the warranty well (if at all).

In September 2002 I had warranty work done, my vehicle needed a new transmission. Since then my vehicle has been leaking trans fluid. It has been there twice already and they still can not fix whatever they have created. Pretty scary if you ask me.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Avoid,
This service department is the worst I have ever been to. I have taken my 99 Dodge ram 2500 diesel there numerous times to fix one problem an can not get it fixed. They have been just replacing parts and costing me money but the problem is still not fixed. The service manager Larry has the brains of a two year old and has no clue how to run a dealer that is suppose to be 5 star certified. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they just want to throw there money down the drains.

Benoy is a really great dealer. (so far)

Sales=Good, Service=Poor,
95 4x4 diesel with ABS problems wanted to blame towing a trailer door hinge replaced scratched the hell out of the door tried to touch it up with touch up paint and dripped it all over the molding what a joke!!!

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
I Brought my truck in several times (10-15) for the same repair and the Service Manager Larry Northrop was a complete moron!! He would not know How to run a Newspaper Stand. My Truck is still not fixed thanks to him and the worst technicians in the world !! They are the armpit of service. Benoy Motor Sales is the worst in Service!!! Larry The manager sucks!!!

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
Sales Dept was just ok, The dealership is run by an 82 Year old man who sells cars like it's 1950. He Will only make the deal difficult if not impossible My only advise is to see BRIAN DREXLER if you dare to purchase a vehicle there. Service is the worst I have seen yet. The service dept does not fix vehicles only replace parts, when that doesn't fix it the service manager doesn't know what to do...If Dave still works there see him if you dare to go there. But not the manager Lawrence, he is the worst

Dealership Rating:
Good sales department, good service
Fair sales, fair service
Conflicting or not enough information
Poor Service or Poor Sales Department
Avoid like the plague!!
Don't Know or No Experience
