I contacted the dealership by e-mail. Was contacted by a salesman by phone.
I was looking for a 2009 Ram 1500 with Laramie crew cab. I told him the other
specs I wanted and he would call me back with the price. Salesman called back
and said he had exactly the truck. We discussed the price and other options
I might want, and asked me if I would like to put a deposit on the vehicle to
"hold it until the deal was final and no other salesman could sell it.
If the deal didn't transpire it would be refunded, and even after we had a deal
over the phone and I drove the 800 miles to the dealership with my trade-in
and wasn't happy with what I was getting it would be refunded". I agreed
to those conditions and gave the salesman my Visa card number. The next day
March 6 the salesman called and said the Ram Laramie he had was not 2 tone paint
but monotone but they could send it to the body shop and make it 2 tone for
$1550.00 more or they had located one in Colorado that could be shipped there
for $1800.00 more. (i was under the impression that the Laramie package was
only 2 tone option you get.) At that point I was uncomfortable with the deal
and March 7 I canceled the deal.
March 9 my Visa a withdrawal was taken from my acct by Dave Smith Motors. March
11 I e-mailed the sales manager I would like my deposit returned. March 12 I
was called by the sales manager and told that deposit on vehicles was non-refundable,
that was to cover the cost of the salesman working the deal. Bait and switch
both in sales talk and vehicle......
Do Not put money down on new vehicles there's more being built tomorrow.

I returned to Dave Smith Motors in order to buy a 1-ton Mega Cab truck, The
sales staff was very helpful and I feel I got the best deal on the truck and
my trade in. I would recommend Dave Smith to anyone, I think you are just wasting
your time with any other dealership. This is my 4th vehicle from them and my
average time to take care of the deal is about a hour and a half. At other dealers
you can be there all day. Dave Smith does not BS you and they don't pull any
of the average dealer tricks, like the "4-square were going to rip you
off" sheet. Dave Smith bends over backwards to make the customer happy,
I think that their service has improved a lot, but it was not that bad to begin
with. I am very very impressed with this dealership. They seem to really care
about their customers!!!!
If you go to Dave Smith, call ahead before you arrive, they will give you extras
like a free gas card or other free things for showing up, they may even cover
a airline ticket or hotel room, just depends on what promo they have going.

It was the most hassle free buying experience I've ever had. Being that I live
in Maui, Hawaii you would think it would take a lot of time in getting my ram
truck here. NOT!! As soon as I signed the paperwork my truck was here in two
weeks.My salesman was Mykah Trevena and he worked with me to get exactly what
I wanted. With the after market add-ons like a six inch lift, tires and wheels,
the accessory dept. did a great job. I've recommended Dave smith to all my friends
and still have on the license frame w/dave smith on it. I'll never by another
car in Hawaii again. Thanks Mykah and Dave Smith Motors!

These folks know how to treat people. Personal and individual handling by all
staff. Even though I haven't used their service area I think that they will
be great. Was able to walk through their area and meet the service manager.
Their accessories area was great.

I purchased a 2005 dodge ram 1500 4x4 quad cab from Dave Smith Motors, I was
in and out in a hour and a half, it is the most unique and trouble free dealership
experience I have ever had, I also in the past purchased a 1997 dodge stratus
and a 1994 dodge ram 1500, all from the same salesman, I love Dave Smith Motors,
and will always purchase from them.

Had a 2004.5 Dodge 3500 4 x 4 Cummins Diesel ordered. Pricing was ok but the
follow-up on the back ordered truck was non-existent. Finally got tired of the
lack of response and cancelled the order. As soon as I cancelled they faxed
over a VIN number and indicated that if I cancelled they would keep my deposit.
I ordered another truck from Dishman Dodge in Spokane. Much better service and
much better price.

I bought a new Diesel Pickup from them in 1993-great experience (no hidden costs
or cheap tricks-the price they quoted over the phone was the price I paid).
Sold that pickup to my son (still running strong) and purchased a 2003 4WD 4dr
Diesel Ram. They've become more sophisticated during the 10 year span but the
price they quoted was still the price I paid. They picked me up at the airport
on time. Some pressure to buy aftermarket add-ons and an extended warranty but
they retreated easily when told no. Expect to be back there in another 10 years.

The sales staff was excellent. Gewn the sales lady was great to me and my father
who also purchased 2 new rigs. A GMC pick-up and a 2003 Yukon. While i purchased
a 2003 Dodge Cummins. And the accessories department is great good Ol' Johnny
B will hook you up with anything that you need. If you don't need a rig just
go there and meet him he is funnier than heck.
Good Luck and Dave Smith has the rest of my business no matter what.

Excellent experience with Dave Smith Motors. I called them and they quoted me
a lower price than anybody around. I live in the state of Washington, and I
would definitely go back and buy another Dodge Truck from them again. Price
was the same when I got there. I would recommend Dave Smith Motors to anyone.

This is the Ultimate in Auto Dealerships - we bought our truck at Dave Smith
Dodge 2 years ago - since we do a lot of traveling from Montana and Seattle
WA. We tend to stop at Dave Smith Dodge for all of our scheduled maintenance.
From the professionalism of their sales staff (ours was Matt Surplus) to their
Service Department (Jessica) everything experienced was excellent!! I can not
imagine going anywhere else to purchase or service ones auto/truck. Even if
you are doing light maintenance - your truck/auto is delivered to you washed!
Just a great experience!!!!

My experience at Dave Smith was outstanding. After getting the royal run-around
at the dealers in Seattle I called Dave Smith Motors. Karl Lakey was my salesman,
he couldn't have done a better job, gave me a price on the phone {dealers in
Seattle wouldn't come close], same price when I flew over to pick up my truck.
They went out of there way to be accommodating to me, when I need another new
vehicle I'll be going back to Dave Smith Motors.

The best sales experience I've had. The service dept. prep'd my truck,
installed exhaust brake and trailer hitch while I waited. The salesperson repeatedly
checked and reported status to me. Only had to wait 4 hours.

I bought my Ram through Dave Smith Motors, Kellogg, Idaho, even though I live
in Utah. Their price was thousands of dollars below what any local dealer would
do at the time. This was my first "American" car, and my first truck. They really
answered all my questions, and were very professional.

I had ordered my truck as I wanted and was willing to wait for it. When it arrived
I was told to come and get it so I made my arrangements and even gave them 3
extra days to have everything ready - well I arrived on time and the truck was
not washed and ready so I waited an extra 3 hours for them to finish preparing
it. Everything else was great.

They are a no haggle dealership and can save a person around $5,000 off the
cost of a standard dealership. I was living in AZ and purchased my 96 Ram over
the phone. I never even met the salesman, but he was one hell of a nice guy.
Even with t he plane ticket and the cost to drive it back down there, I still
saved close to $5,000 from what they wanted for one down there.

First class operation. The entire process from picking the truck to picking
it up was a pleasant experience. I will buy there again. I'm still waiting to
find out how there service dept operates.

How to buy a truck under invoice!!!! In the small town of Kellog, Idaho there
is a dealer that can do this. The name is Dave Smith motors. I was there in
December of 97 and there was a plaque on the wall that said "thanks for the
great month, we sold 732 new cars". I was flabbergasted to say the least. They
absolutely deal in volume there! He sold his vehicles at that time at right
about $200 dollars above dealer HOLDBACK. Which at that time was approximately
3% of the cars Invoice price. The drawback is, that Kellog is one heck of a
distance from most of us. Their option on this is that they will pick you up
at the airport in Spokane and drive you to the dealership. Complete the paperwork
and have a nice trip home. I am in the Sacramento area and the trip one way
is about 15 hours with out hurrying.
