Sold me a salvaged car.
I purchased a used 2002 Kia Rio Cinco from Palmer Dodge on June 23 of 2007.
I explicitly asked if the car was ever in an accident. Palmer Dodge assured
me that the car had a clean carfax report. I later learned that the car was
salvaged. Palmer Dodge sold me a salvaged vehicle and I ended up
taking a loss.
Shortly after the purchase, I noticed that when I hit bumps in the road that
the left front end would knock. When I gave the car an oil change I notice a
bolt was missing from the brake caliper. Some inspection.
I will not conduct business with a business that does not stand behind their
mistakes and neither should you.

Last May 2005 my dad Andrew flew in for birth of my daughter. While he was staying
with us. I decided to take my truck 2003 Red Dodge Quad Cab 1500 in for a oil
change. When we arrived there and went inside the service dept. The man there
knew me because I had it serviced there once before. While he took a look around
my truck and told me that I need to have a tires rotation. He also told me that
I needed the brakes to be changed. I said no, just do the oil change and tire
rotation. So they took in my truck around 2 pm or so. I assumed it will take
an hour. We walked around and looked at cars/trucks etc. it had been an hour
so we went and take a look. Saw that my truck is already up with hood opened
up. So we just waited outside. Another hour went by now it's around 4 pm still
my truck is up nothing had been done. My dad got kinda irritated and went in
and talked with the man. They told him they started working on it. I took a
look. Finally a man took the tires off and did the balance on it then set it
down and started doing oil change. Man... two hours???? standing in the heat.
Another hour went by now it's five pm. My mom called asking where we are and
supper is almost ready to eat. About 6 pm. finally my truck came out. No "sorry"
from the man who did the work. Just handled me the paper and walked away. So
I took the paper and get it paid. I complained to the man about the length of
time to do that kind of work oil change??? he decided not to charge me for oil
change but charged me for tire rotation. bec . I think it costs more than oil
change. he did say he's sorry. So.. now from on I had taken my truck to other
places like getting my brakes fixed and oil changes. I will not take my truck
to Palmer's again. please be smart about that. People are not stupid on how
long oil change will take? it should be half to one hour long. that's it.

Salesman was nice but tacky. He was telling my wife and I stories about his
strip club visits, which was bizarre. Seemed more interested in getting referrals
than anything. Lost interest once deal was signed and didn't even come out while
we waited for vehicle to be washed. "forgot" to mention a $350 end
of lease fee.
Service dept was a mess. Bad attitudes. Service writer looked more like a stripper.
Maybe my salesman got her the job there. But she knew nothing and was slack.
They took my truck in to replace a broken rear window, but after a while couldn't
produce. They then tried to charge me far over the estimate price. So I drove
up and got it and took it elsewhere and had it done for far less.
Parts dept couldn't manage to handle a request for touch up paint properly after
several requests. Finally I was sold some. Opened to find they had sold me an
old one that was dried out.

Avoid this place like the plague. The dealership is horrible. The head sales
guys are smug and arrogant and are used to dealing with Viper buyers apparently
by all the Vipers they keep. Service was friendly, but priced at two times the
going rate to have something done at a private garage.

We have brought our car in for the past two days(friday, Monday) and our car
is STILL not finished. It is a transmission issue. We were told they don't do
warranty work on weekends. I will tell you right now that we will not by from
Palmer Dodge again. The service there is incredibly slow and unreliable. We
are a family of 5 and should not have to be without our car for 3 days because
they don't touch the car. First come first serve is ridiculous. If it is under
warranty, which it is, we should be first on the list. Especially since we cam
last Friday and THEY didn't finish. Seems to me we would be the first car looked
at this AM. I love my caravan, but the service department has always proved
unreliable and I will not by a Dodge minivan again due to this reason alone!

They can sell you a truck, but they can't repair it! The A/C keeps having major
problems, Palmer says its normal. Loss of blowing air is not normal. No air
comes through the panel vents after two service visits or about 6 working days
with no fix. While at the dealer the truck's passenger mirror was damaged, driver's
side fender and hood was scratched, they replaced the mirror cover. I think
the ran it up against a wall. Leather seats and steering wheel all black with
grease. Palmer will not address the vibration problems even though I provided
the TSB stating how to fix the steering vibration. Over all the service department
treats you like an idiot. I think the problem with Palmer is the lack of qualified
techs and service writers. These people have no idea how to fix problems and
really don't care if they fix it or not. No trouble shooting skills at all.
Plus, they won't even try. I go through Roberto, he offers no solutions to the
A/C problem. I've delt with this dealer for the past 6 years, they have gotten
worse with age. Advoid these people if you can. They have "hot" customers
on a daily basis, I heard about lots of Durango issues while waiting for mine.
One man was on his 5th try to fix the same power window problem.
I really like the truck, its the dealer who has ruined the experience.

very poor experience with the service dept. Told me that the labor charge for
diagnosis would apply against charges- overcharged and didn't fix the steering.
All I got for $280 was an engine warning light turned off. I will never go to

Having bought a used 2001 Durango SLT, I requested the second set of key &
key fob as was provided with the new car. The 'newbie' salesman assured me he
would contact the previous owner as there was only one key set in the dealership.
After 10 days, I was informed that the previous owner could not be reached and
a new key & fob would have to be programmed in Service for - are you ready??
-- $100!! I said, calmly, NO WAY. I bought the car and should have two sets
of keys. I would be willing to pay cost, as I was not the one who lost the second
key set. After visiting the service department to have the key & fob programmed,
I was charged $204.00!!! After complaining to management, I was credited a mere
$40. What a sap I am. Never again will I deal with them. Then there is the matter
of the car's service records requested as part of the sale, and to this date
I do not have them. But don't get me started. I am in process of contacting
the Dealership's owner to file a formal complaint. I do not want to be the sole
financial supporter for the Chrysler Corporation.

I spoke with Eric Palmer on a price, I asked 4 different times and he told me
that they would treat me like a employee or family member. Still I did not get
a price. Not the way to do business in this day and age. Eric is a nice guy,
but when we are talking money I need to know where we are starting. I went to
Hayes in Lawerenceville, GA got a price and after some give and take got the
Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi SLT of my dreams thanks to Matt Miller and owner Mike Hayes.

Went to Palmer Dodge to buy a Ram 1500 Quad Cab. My dealer told me he could
not give me a price on the vehicle unless I was willing to agree to buy it that
day. It is difficult to agree to buy a vehicle if you do not know what the price
is. I got up and walked away and paid cash for a Chevy at North Point the very
next day. Come to find out they fired the sales guy soon after.

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
When we were in the market for a Durango, we spoke to several people that purchased
from Palmer Dodge, and they told us, "love our Durango, but you can't get any
service from Palmer." Well, we voiced our concerns with Sales when we purchased,
and they assured us that they were a 5 star dealer... HA HA. We have had our
Durango in on 4 occasions for small warranty items, and an oil change and tire
rotation. In all 4 visits we have had to return to the dealership because the
work was not complete or done improperly. When we took in in for initial cleanup
(we bought in late on a Saturday afternoon when the staff was already gone home),
we left it all day, and they never washed it or vacuumed. Also, were to touch
up the doors on both front sides (a couple of very small nicks) and they did
not do this also. Last time, we took in for an oil change and tire rotation.
They only rotated 1/2 my tires. The list goes on and on....

Bought a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport in September 2001. Salesperson was okay.
Finance manager was terrible. Know what you want to pay, know what your being
charged and stick to your guns.
Service Department is the pits. About a month after buying the van the power
liftgate would not close the liftgate. In three attempts they could not duplicate
and only adjusted a "shim." The liftgate would fail to operate after two to
three tries. Finally went to a different dealership who fixed the problem. Avoid
Palmer Dodge.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor,
A few months after purchasing a 1999 Dodge Durango it started regularly (every
other day) blowing a fuse which controls the power door locks, intermittent
wipers, interior light, rear door latch etc. Since Palmer Dodge was close to
my home (not where I purchased vehicle) I made an appointment for service. They
were way over booked on my appt. day and didn't get to servicing my car until
the next day. The charged me $75 in diagnostics and $150 to replace a belt.
They said they couldn't reproduce the fuse problem. I took the car back and
two days later the fuse blew again. Once again I made another appt. and once
again they were over booked. After the car sat for a day on the lot they finally
looked at it. After two more days and $380.00 in labor diagnosing the vehicle
they called me to say I needed a new Central Control Unit. This part would cost
another $200.00, and would take 3 to 5 days to order. The worst part is that
I could not drive the vehicle during that 3-5 day period because they had to
have the same mileage on the vehicle when the part is installed as when it was
ordered. Palmer Dodge refused to loan me a vehicle or compensate for for my
inconvenience in any way.

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
I took my Dodge Dakota Sport in for it's 30,000 mile warranty work. I told the
service department to give me the recommended warranty service. $1200.00 later
I picked up my truck. The air-conditioning belt squealed every time I turned
it on, It wasn't like that when it went in to the shop. My power steering fluid
level and my brake fluid level were at half the mark. The Service Department
Manager latter told me that is normal not to fill the levels to the recommended
line. There was an un-opened can of additive stuck between the battery and the
fender well. When I took the truck back into the service department, the Service
Manager wanted me to make an appointment three days later to fix the work. They
had the truck for a day and a half prior to that point. When I called the Dealership
Manager and Owner I got no response. When I e-mailed them I got no response.
Dodge said they couldn't help me with the problem. Needless to say I'll be getting
my next truck from another dealer. Avoid this place at all costs and I do mean
COST $$$. I won't ever do business with Palmer Dodge again.

Distance from house eventually made it impractical to take truck in for
service. A newly built dealership less than 1 mile from home is where truck
is now serviced. Did have minor problem with an oil change at Palmer Dodge.
Oil filter was NOT changed and eventually developed leak on vacation road trip.
This was rectified by dealer with free oil change and filter along with new
fuel filter. No cost. Would recommend them for someone in the immediate area
of the dealer.

Sales=Poor, Service=Poor,
Some really sleazy old salesman talked about strippers ad nauseum in front of
my wife. He also failed to mention a $400 lease termination fee after I'd asked
"does this include any other fees?" I found it hidden in the eyestraining small
print on the BACK of the lease form. Finally, he spent more time trying to make
us sign some forms to refer him clients than he did showing us the vehicle.
Service: 1) in for tranny fluid change. Leaked afterwards 2) parts dept. sold
me an opened bottle ( I later discovered) of touch up paint, so gummy it did
more harm than good to the finish. They also didn't have it as they claimed
they did, the first time after my wife had called to make sure, and she wasted
a 45 min drive. 3) They quoted me $95 to replace a broken rear sliding glass
panel. After 4 days, in which they tore up the headliner of my truck, they said
it couldn't be replaced. They then took another week to replace the entire rear
window assembly. They wanted $400!!! I showed them a quote from an independent
glass co. (factory glass too) for $250 and only after arguing would they accept
that amount. They should have done it for the $95. Shouldn't a dealer know what
can be fixed and what requires a completely new glass unit? The only reason
I took it there at all was their claim that they could replace just the small
panel. They craftily removed and destroyed the old rear glass panel before announcing
they could not replace the small sliding panel. It was pouring rain, and winter,
so I had to bite the bullet. Their service writer was also caught in several
lies about a) why it wasn't ready in a timely manner and b) why they didn't
know the panel couldn't be replaced. 3) They tried to overcharge for tranny
refill, brake job, and oil change they did. Even though the coupons I had were
STAPLED to the invoice, they asked for the full amount. 4) the usual BS charges
for shop rags, cleaning supplies, etc. 5) replaced a bad CD player. Broke again
months later. Another dealer replaced it again and the mechanic claimed it was
improperly installed. I have no way of confirming that.
