I took our Town & Country there three times for warrantee work on the brakes.
The first time I was told it take one day to replace the brakes. I got my van
back four days later. One year later I took the van back in for the same brake
problem. It was not delivered on time as promised by the service center. So
I had to stop by and pick up my sons football equipment. The van was locked
when I got there and the individual who had the key to the lock box had left
early. When they finally got access to the key about 20 minutes later, we couldn't
use the auto door lock switches to unlock the back hatch because they had left
the lights on and run down the battery. Less than one year later, I took the
van back in for the same right front brake problem. They told me there was nothing
wrong that they could see with the brakes and that the noise I was hearing had
to do with the way my wife drove the van around town. I became incensed with
the service department manager/moron and told him to give me my van back and
I would fix the problem since they were too inept to do so. I took the van home
and fixed the problem myself and paid for it as well even though it was a warrantee
issue. Another example of their incompetence. My dash lights would flicker off
and on every once in a while, especially when driving over a bump or pothole.
All three times I asked them to check it and see if they could find the problem.
All three times they couldn't. I happen to find it by mere chance when turning
the headlights on. While doing so, I noticed the dash lights flickered. I gently
pushed the switch and around the switch and found that there was a short in
the wire going to the switch. I am not much of a mechanic but I do understand
the basics and it scares me to think that these people such as these are working
on our cars. So much for those high dollar mechanics that are supposed to be
the "experts".
