Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
I have been having a lot of problems with the Dodge Stratus, which I am leasing.
The battery went bad after only about four or five months... they replaced it,
so this is the third battery. Also, I just paid $380.00 for the 30k service.
I feel they did not rotate my tires, nor was the AC recharged as stated in the
brochure... I don't feel confident that the belts or plugs were changed either.
Now I have to call back and state this, it is all just an inconvenience.

Sales=Fair, Service=Avoid,
The sales department was fair. They are very much into the practice of low balling
your trade in and then charging full sticker for your new purchase. My service
writer, Matt Wagoneer, was always very helpful and concerned about any problems
that I had with my truck. Matt always gave excellent customer service. The problem
came when my paint began to "dissolve". The body shop I was told to go to told
me that Dodge had painted my truck improperly at the factory. They stated that
the clear coat was to thin and was actually dissolving, which was causing my
paint to fail. They further advised that it was very likely that the rest of
my paint would do the same. They felt that the entire truck should be painted
"under warranty". I had to go back to Venice Dodge service manager and let him
see the paint. He stated that only parts of my truck would be painted and that
if the rest of the paint failed then we would deal with it at that time. I stated
my concerns several times and told him what the body shop had said about the
new paint not matching totally with the old paint "black" and he showed no concern
what so ever. My service writer agreed with me, but to no avail.
Venice Dodge service has made it very clear that they don't care about you after
the sale. They have also cured me from ever buying another Dodge product. The
only saving grace that dealership has is Matt Wagoneer. It should be noted that
I took my truck to the body shop that Venice Dodge told me to.
