Sales=Poor, Service=Poor, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
     2/15/06, my PT Cruiser bean to misfire. I took it to a service station and had the attendants do a diagnostic check. the test result was a number three cylinder misfiring. My check engine light was on, so I decided to take the car to the dealer, Eddie A$$-Screwed-me for service.
     My car has 43K miles on it, seven thousand over my warranty. I purchased the car with a 36K, three year warranty and when I took it in to see Barry Tillis. I normally go to Ricky, but he was not in yet, so Barry answered and took my call. He told me to bring it in to be serviced and asked if I could leave it. I said yes and upon arrival, he took my information and told me that I should have serviced my car at 30K.
     My knowledge which comes from my father, an engineer with Chrysler, whom Barry later insulted and condescended, told me that when an "check engine" light comes on, it lights up because of engine problem, either a sensor went bad, there are problems with oxygen levels, combustion etc, NOT because my spark plug wires were bad, or my plugs are fouled or my coil is burned out. These were all the reasons why my car was not performing properly, and Barry told me, simply that I was not doing my part to maintain the car and if i didn't want the technician to fix it, fine, come and get my car.
     I can accept the "New York" attitude of "hey, you want it fixed or not?" What I cannot accept is the misinformation given to me by Barry Tillis that contradict factory mandates. Spark plugs and wires are designed and engineered to last five years...that is from chrysler and the United States
Government, whom I have more reliability and trust with more than Barry Tillis, Mr. Long Island-who takes advantage of under-paid high school teachers.
     My bill is 500.00 for spark plugs, spark plug wires, and a new coil...Now I realize I have maybe one wire bad...or maybe a spark plug that fouled...but Barry wants to charge me 500.00 to replace all the parts and he even had the audacity to sell me a fuel injection flush...
Bottom line, I should not have to touch, or pay for anything related to the ignition system. I will pay for what needs to be replaced, but this lecture on what I should do and what my father should know about Chrysler products and how they are defective is nonsense and ridiculous! Barry is well skilled at putting people in uncomfortable financial situations.
     I am very disappointed in Barry Tillis and how this man now has caused me a life quest of making sure no one buys or services anything from Eddie Accardi again.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
8-22-02 Was promised reimbursement on having after market power windows and door locks installed when I signed the lease.
8-23-02 Called Patrick the sales manager at Eddie Accardi Chrysler in Pompano Beach 4 times. He did not return my calls. I wanted to bring the van back. I finally threatened to bring it back if he didn’t return my calls. He finally called back and said he was “Looking for the deal” and would call me back. He didn’t.
8-24-02 Went back to Eddie Accardi. Waited an hour while Patrick said he was “Looking for the deal, couldn’t find it. I finally had to leave as I had an appointment. He kept saying, “We’re still looking for the Deal”
8-26-02 Went back to Eddie Accardi and spoke to Barry Bergman Manager. He said he’s see what he could do and get back to me. I told him about the noise it was making and he told me to make an appt to take it to service. They would not release me from the deal. He said my reimbursement for the added features were “In The Deal.” I was not getting reimbursed. He said “We probably should have clarified that” I told him for the price I ended up paying then, I could have gotten a vehicle with factory installed parts. With the after market, only the front windows will work with power and the rear hatch can only be opened with a key.
9-3-02-02 Precision Radio came to install power door locks and windows
9-6-02 Had to have Precision Car radio come back to fix the door lock on passengers side that would not open with the key
9-11-2 Went to Eddie Accardi Chrysler and spoke to a manager and was told I could only get out of this with a 5 year lease
9-11-2 Went to see Barry at Eddie Accardi Dodge to try to get him to help me get out of the vehicle. He was no longer at Eddie Accardi Chrysler, but now at Eddie Accardi Dodge. He told me all he could do is pit me in a 6 cylinder in a 5 year lease.
9-11-2 Dr Ding Dr Paint came to remove the dent in the left quarter panel sent by dealership
9-11-2 Took Van to service at Eddie Accardi and was told the growling was normal for a 4 cylinder
9-7-02 Went back with a friend to verify the noise was not normal and was still told it was normal.
9-11-2 Took the Van to Monarch Dodge. They found that the problem only exists when the A/C is on but they didn’t know what it was.
9-11-02 Called Daimler Chrysler and told them about the problem and they said basically, “Tough luck, you signed the papers. You have to deal with the dealer you leased it from.The woman I spoke to would not let me speak to a supervisor.
9-19-02 Took the van back to Monarch Dodge. . Frank Panuzzo drove it and Verified it was NOT normal but didn’t know what it could be. They could replace the evaporator and Compressor but it would not guarantee the problem would be solved.
It is 20 miles round trip to either dealer. I am losing a lot of work time trying to get this resolved. I feel I was taken advantage of and can get no satisfaction. I am not happy with this vehicle and that awful growling noise is aggravating.
Please call Frank Panuzzo at Monarch Dodge to verify 954-484-2300
During this time I got several calls from the Bank One because my former lease with 2 payments left were not yet paid and Bank One said they were told that I had not turned in the vehicle. I made several calls to Eddie Accardi on this. I never received a mileage statement, when I turned in the Caravan it had 34,000 miles on it. Just yesterday, 9-18-02 Bank One told me they received a call that Eddie Accardi now had the vehicle. I was reimbursed for $350 of the repairs on my old vehicle as promised. But I would be responsible for late fees and any miles over the 36000 miles. But they refused to reimburse me the tax for these repairs.
I was lied to, and once the papers were signed they didn’t want to be bothered The MSRP was $20,650. I am including a copy of the lease, and a copy of the delivery acknowledgement showing they were installing power windows, door locks and keyless entry. But I WAS told they were paying for that. “I” paid for that in my lease. They added $ 2509 to the MSRP.But I was told I would be reimbursed for this, UNTIL I signed the papers. There was a $3000 rebate. $1000 Lease Loyalty, and I put $1000 down. I also had to have the windows tinted and a cost of another $137.80
I cannot keep taking time off for this and cannot live with this Growling noise.
In addition to the complaint already filed I received this bill from the former leasing Company for the lease I turned in to Eddie Accardi Chrysler. I paid the 2 months rental due, AND the disposition fee. Which Eddie Accardi did not pay. I had any dents and scratches repaired before Eddie Accardi picked up my old Lease, 2000 Dodge Caravan. I had to make several calls to Eddie Accardi as the Leasing Co, Bank One was being told I hadn’t turned the vehicle in yet. They had the vehicle for 2- 3 weeks before they notified the Leasing Co that it was there. In fact, when Bank One called Eddie Accardi, they were told the vehicle hadn’t been turned in yet, although they had it since 8-29-02. I have no idea who was driving the vehicle. I totally detailed the Caravan myself, inside and out before they picked it up from Russ and Bobs Body shop. ( Bill enclosed) Now I get this letter from the Leasing Co demanding money for body work. See enclosed bill for body work. Eddie Accardi picked up the Dodge Caravan from Russ & Bobs Body shop. I did not drive the vehicle at all after body work was complete. Monarch Dodge has been trying to help me with these defects. The just had my Chrysler Voyager, the new lease, for 8 days. Now that makes almost 1 month that this van has been in the shop. I have made only 1 payment. Now they say some big wig from Chrysler has to come down next week and take a look at it because they have another vehicle doing the same thing. Yet more days without the vehicle. I think this DEFINITELY falls under the lemon law. But Chrysler refuses to let me out of this lease. The van is getting 12 miles to the gallon, costing me even more in gas. The problem is when the A/ C is on. Now it will be even more time off work. The after market door locks installed sometimes lock and unlock by themselves while driving down the road or while I’m out of the vehicle. I can’t spend all my time on this defective vehicle. I can’t believe Chrysler condones and allows dealers to do these kinds of things to consumers, or a re allowed to get away with it.
Avoid the dealership- full of deceptive practices both the
managers down to the sales people!

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
My name is Jennifer. I have had 3 Jeeps from Eddie Accardi … 2 were hand me downs from my parents and the last one I actually bought myself. To give you some background info, my family has owned 7 Jeeps. All have been Grand Cherokees except one that was a Laredo. We have purchased them all at Eddie Accardi. My father worked many years ago with the General Manager, Jeff Borax and that is how we decided on that dealership.
So here is my story. After much thought and urging from my father, I decided that I would look into buying a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. My father believes that Jeeps are the best things ever. I myself wanted a Toyota 4-Runner Limited, but they were around 32k, which was too much money for me. My father brought me to Eddie Accardi in Pompano Beach, so I could see the car in person. The car was waiting at the front door for me to look at. My father had called in and spoken with the General Manager of Eddie Acardi, Jeff Borax, so he knew the exact Jeep I wanted. His son, David Borax met us at the door and introduced himself along with his father. They seemed nice enough and very anxious to sell me a car. I immediately brought out all of my homework that I had done on the Internet. I had printouts of specs and prices for the exact car that I wanted. I could get the car via Internet for 28K and I showed both salesmen the documentation to prove the price. I came prepared. I also had a price for my trade in Jeep from Blue Book and I wanted 5K for it.
Jeff went back into his office for about 15 minutes and then came out and said that they would match the Internet price of 28K. Also he would give me 5K on my trade since my dad and he were such "pals". After all the details were ironed out, my dad left while I waited on the paperwork. I went into the finance manager's office, whose name was Nick, and we went over all the paperwork and I signed. I then noticed some of the numbers were wrong and told him. He said "no problem," that he would speak with Jeff concerning the wrong prices. I said, "fine" and thought that everything would be taken care of. As I left I noticed that there were some spots underneath the clearcoat. They looked like coffee colored specks. I pointed this out to David and then he called his father out. Jeff then told me to bring it back in and they would take care of it. Since it was a Saturday they couldn't do anything. I said, "fine" and was all excited to drive my first new car home!!! When I got home I went through the paperwork again because I thought that the monthly payments seemed kind of high. After looking at the paperwork more carefully, I realized that they had charged me 32,8K for the car and not the 28K that we agreed to. I thought it was an error. I called on Monday and spoke with David and told him the mistake. He then put his father on the phone, who seemed to not "recall" any of the internet research that I had brought in and told me that there was no mistake. I said that I would be coming down to speak with him to get it resolved ... all the time thinking that it was simply a mistake on their part.
I brought my boss from work, who is a bit more knowledgeable with finance matters. When I got to the dealership I immediately knew that this was not going to be easy. Jeff was very annoyed with the fact that I even came to speak with him. I kept saying "remember the printouts I brought for the car" .. "remember the price we discussed". Well he did not remember anything. He said that he would never agree to sell the car for 28k when the sticker says 31k. He said that by law they are not allowed to sell the car for anything less than the sticker .. this was a "new Florida law". At this time my boss chimed in to let him know that he was not telling the truth. He got very upset and told her to leave the dealership. He did not want to speak with me unless she left. I said "explain to me how, if the sticker price was 31k and there was nothing added onto the car .. how was it that I was charged 32,8K"??? He gave me a blank stare and then told me that he would be right back. He went into the finance manager's office and they talked for awhile. He came out and explained that the price included all the taxes. I said, "Well then why are the taxes added on again here at the bottom"??? Again they all went back to discuss this newest issue. They came back and said that it was the finance interest. I said, "then why is the finance interest added again here at the bottom"???? Again they all went back to discuss this issue.
Finally, after getting their lie straight, they came out and told me that I really did not get $5K for my trade in. They had assessed the value of my trade-in at $2K. But since they had agreed to give me $5K, they added $3k onto the sticker price. So instead of the price of the car being $28K with $2K for my trade in (leaving me a balance of $24K), they charged me $32K cause Hmmmm!!! I asked them if people always believed that like I did .Of course they did not answer. Because I had already signed the contract and had left with the car, my boss said … "they got you".
Jeff Borax was very adamant that he explained this all to me and that they were telling the truth. How any of that makes any sense or the fact that they actually had the nerve to think that people would believe such deceit is laughable. But, since I signed the contract there was really nothing I could do. Basically, when I originally began the process, we had agreed on a price of $28K for the car, $5K for my trade, and $2,700 cash. That should have brought the amount I would have to finance to around $20K. Instead, I got stuck with $32,853 for the car, $4,600 for my trade in and $ 2,700 cash, which brought my finance amount to $28K. All very nice and neat. What I learned is if you don't read the contract completely, word for word, you won't notice the inconsistencies. Since my father had worked with and was friends with Jeff Borax, and we had bought so many cars from him, I assumed I wouldn't really need to read all the papers. I was dead wrong. Instead of me having to finance $20K .. I financed $28K. Big difference.
I have yet to bring my Jeep back for the spots under the clearcoat . When I called to bring it in, no one had spoken with the parts department regarding the issue. I would have to bring it in for a person from the Jeep Manufacturer to look at and approve the new parts to be put on. I was told that I had to prove that it was Jeeps fault and not mine. Too much headache for an already never ending nightmare. I also have 3 recalls on my 2002 and am dreading having to bring it into the stealership, much less having to see any salesperson. I do not recommend Eddie Accardi to anyone looking to buy a new or used car. Every horror story you have heard regarding car dealerships cannot touch the methods used here at Eddie Accardi to deceive and outright lie to sell a car.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
got a hand me down car from my husband - a white 1984 Jeep Cherokee with 211,111 miles at the time it got traded in. It took a while for my husband to convince me to get rid of the old car which runs great. So I decided to get a used one - a green 1995 Jeep Cherokee from Hollywood Chrysler, Florida. I was excited and proud about it since it will be my very first car that I own. I don't like the forest green color but at that time, that is the only one available and physically clean with low mileage. The sales person insisted on us taking the car right away, in fact, he will give us 6 gal of gasoline as a bonus. According to him, it passed the emission test and ready to go. Signed all papers/contracts, brought the car home. After a week, they called me " They need to pick up my car for emission test so I can get the permanent license plate!" Another thing I noticed after cleaning the car, the paint on the hood was not that good. What happened is they put a coat of jell or some sort to make the car paint look slick and new especially when its raining. So you can guess what happened next. Even though the vehicle was in good condition, I Got rid of the car after a year.
To make my life easier, I decided to buy a new car to avoid such problem. After going to every single websites and checking every sports vehicle available. I decided to get a white 2000 jeep Cherokee. This time from Eddie Accardi of Pompano Beach, Florida. My husband recommended the dealer because he said they are good. In fact, he rented his grand Cherokee from the dealer. Pete Sereno - one of the salesperson who got hold of us talked us into getting a new one, that they will give us a very good deal for my nice clean green car with new expensive $500+ Michelin off-road wide tires. That they found a brand new vehicle which met our specs such as ABS, White, Tow package, deep tint etc. The only thing they require is that they must have my old car because, they found somebody who is interested in buying the car and does not want any more mileage in it @ 54000+ miles. In return, they will lend us a Chrysler convertible, which I think is a piece of junk and ran like a junk! They also took my car registration that day and I made a deposit of $700.00.
ete called on Tuesday to let us know that the car is in that day (afternoon). And my husband said that we will go there later in the afternoon. We had dinner at Hop's and even told Donald, the waiter about the new car we're picking up. We realized it was past 2000hrs.
On that night @2045H, my husband called him and told him, "it is probably better to wait the next day to pick up the new car", But Pete insisted that the car is ready and detailed. So even though we were tired, we decided to go. We were greeted by Pete and told us that the only missing in the list was the deep tint window. But we have the country package. It must not be my day. Somebody stole my back support cushion inside the dealer's place. The car is not even ready for pickup. The closing manager was obnoxious and demeaning. Guess what, the price and the interest rate was more than we agreed on. I was ready to walk out and forget about the whole deal, but my husband signaled me to remain composed, and I worried about my 1995 car which they took already and is gone! The staff including Pete, after we got out of the store, was in a rush to leave. We went to the car and found out that the floor mats were still missing, so I ran back inside, the cleaning crew told me that Pete is out at the yard to get his car. I found Pete and told him I still don't have the floor mats and he promised he will have it the next day right in his office desk. So I went back to the car, and just started looking in the compartments, underneath the seats and found the manufacturer's list. My husband went through the list and found out things missing - the tow package,and most specially the ABS and we discovered that they on purposely hid the manufacturer's sticker list - a federal offense. We were informed by our lawyer that the manufacturer's sticker is supposed to be on the window and should be taken off by the consumer themselves. So after discovering the missing ABS - I ran back the second time, the dealer's place was locked already. Pete was no were to be found. The cleaning crew said that he saw Pete leave the yard. I was also informed that they have illegally used my old license plate in lieu of temporarily giving me a license plate for the new car! The have really gone out of their way to deceive me in any possible way!
They also drove the car all the way from Miami and charge me hundred of dollars for that!
Next day, my husband faxed them a letter about the missing parts and features. I washed the car, lo and behold, some defects on the paint- such as rust, paint flaking, etc. My husband sent them a letter of all the missing requirements and problems. Pete said that they will take care of the Problems. Just bring the car back and Pete told me to show up at the dealer's place with all the sweet promises. I showed up, no Pete at all. I went to the service department and the service manager expressly said that "those darn sales people are always like that, they ask the customer to show up, wait for a long time while they hide themselves - no work order slip, etc." So I asked the receptionist and she said that Pete is not reporting for work that day. The manager - Steve Milrot which is also obnoxious and demeaning, and said that "they don't even know I'm coming". He refers me as a "bitch" who's concern is to bitch and complain. I brought him to the car, pointed all the problems - even the assistant service manager (in whispering mode), said" their inspector missed those blemishes". And yet he tries to cover up the problems when I confronted them. "That I don't know what I'm talking about!" I had to call my husband to talk to Steve Milrot, and finally he started giving me some respect, and are willing to do something about it.
Another thing, Eddie Accardi Chrysler Dealership put a towing package on my car which is not Chrysler certified. They got it from some generic brand name and installed it. So we got fed up. We paid for the ABS, a tow package and other things, which we did not get, the car is a year old as pointed by our attorney. We filed a lawsuit, the judge, two times ruled that arbitration is needed and not the jury. After several months, no arbitration came, so we filed a motion to get to bring it to court, and up to now we are still waiting for it. Obviously, the staff of Eddie Accardi has committed a Federal Offense and should be punished, especially for fooling customers.
By the way Eddie Accardi has not refunded me for the remainder of my car registration. I paid them $200.00 in advance for the transfer of my license tag to this new car. We also found out that Eddie Accardie,Pompano Motors Corp and Hollywood chrysler are the same owners! What a surprise!
Whether it is a different car or not just make sure you don't buy from this dealership- eddie accardi, pompano motors and hollywood chrysler.

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
Eddie Accardi must hire their lawn care guys to fix cars. I have never seen such incompetence and lack of ....well, lack of any kind of knowledge or understanding in fixing cars. Don't be surprised if you bring your "under warranty" vehicle in to Eddie Accardi for a drivability problem that they give you the "must be bad gas" brush off. They tried that with me (and many others), well it took them over 30 days and the swapping of 9 different parts for them to finally figure it out. THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!
