I'm still trying to get some questions answered about a Dodge Charger/Magnum and really am ready to spend somewhere between $30,000 to $40,000 (see Planet Dodge comments). I drove up onto this dealership in my wife's 2004 Nissan Murano (not a junk heap or "starter" car). This was about a hour and a half before they closed. My wife and 2 children get out with me to look if they have a Charger yet, to compare to a Magnum RT. While thankful not to be accosted before we could get ten feet from our car, we walked up to and went in the showroom. No Chargers or Magnums, a couple of sales people drinking coffee on the other side of the building. We walked past then to go to the outside portion of the showroom where we found a salesman leaning against a post smoking. Alas, no Charger or Magnum out there either. We started walking back to our car when I saw a Magnum in the used car area, it was not an RT but though locked I could show the wife and kids an up close!
view of the exterior. I then saw a few Magnums parked way at the back of the lot but did not want to walk there without an escort or salesman in tow. We waited around by the used Magnum waiting for someone to come by. The smoking salesman put his cigarette out and started walking toward us, but that was just a false alarm, he just went inside to get some coffee and sit down with the other guys. Now, in all fairness, there were other salespeople who were working with other customers, but I found it difficult to believe that after 20 minutes no one could say "Someone will be right with you" or at least acknowledge our existence.
I may be dumb, but I'm still on my quest for a Dodge dealership that wants my money. Dadeland Dodge is less than a mile from my house, but they further exacerbated my enmity by not responding to my email. I've been using all the Internet car search sites and they had promptly responded to one of my queries. When one of the INTERNET sales managers (they seem to have several) asked what he could do to help me, I responded with the fact that I must have discovered personal stealth for my family, as we were invisible. I guess my sarcasm fell on deaf ears, I have yet to hear back.

This is my first experience at owning a Dodge, plus it is my FIRST new vehicle for myself. I purchased a new 2003 Ram Quad Cab, with the 4.7. I wanted the V-8 for power and longevity. I went in just looking, as does everyone, and would up missing games I had to Umpire for a girls softball league. I kept telling them I would come back the next day, and to get all the paper work ready. This did not satisfy them and they had to get that sale now. I finally got out out there after about four hours and barely made my second game. I also told them that when I test drove the truck, it pulled to the right and needed to be re aligned. The sales manager told me that since the truck had been sitting in the heat on the lot they sometimes did this. I knew this was a crock, as I drive for a living. So today, on my day off, I had to take the truck in and have the alignment re-done. The service department was extremely helpful, as long as I made an appointment. They got me in when they said and I was out at the assigned time also. The service dept. gets a much higher rating from me as opposed to the sales dept. Hell, they did not even explain to me how to use any of my features on my truck. Now, I'm no idiot and it took me just a minute to figure out, but I am still playing with the digital fuel economy thing on the roof. Also, my fuel mileage absolutely is horrible. About 8 MPG, city. Not much better on the HWY yet either. Hopefully after it breaks in, I will have better mileage. Go Dodge, I never thought I would say that.
