Service advisors no absolutely nothing about the Cummins Diesel. They thinks this engine uses glow plugs for a cold start aid. If you take your vehicle there for warranty work and they are too incompetent to diagnose it you can bet you will be billed for them doing absolutely nothing. If you have gauges on your diesel you might as well walk out the door and save the headache because they will not even try to find the problem you brought it in for they will simply call you and tell you the vehicle has been "tampered" with and they cannot continue unless you are willing to give up your warranty. They did this to me over paint missing off of my intake horn bolts, which were removed to put my boost gauge in. The problem was a surge at idle in cold weather, but they didn't even put forth an effort to find this. There only effort was to threaten to void my warranty over scratched bolts, and this cost me $100.52 and I don't know any more now than I did when I dropped it off. This is a real first class operation that I will never give a cent of business to again. If this is what you have to go through for warranty work, screw it. I'll pay a real diesel mechanic and have it done right.
