Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Maybe,
I bought a Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab 4X4 Year 2000 their on 12 Jan. At the time
we ask the sales person for a Carfax and to see the blue book price, he responded
that we do not use carfax anymore and that we sell the vehicles at blue book
or below. Ok, I thought because I had heard so, much good stuff about the Carlin
Dodge store that the salesman was telling the truth. So, I bought the truck
(big mistake) after setting and waiting for the finance people for about 45
min I ask the salesman for the extra key and the keys for the camper shell,
he stated he could only find a extra vehicle key with out the remote, but would
look for the shell key and remote. When i returned home i look my vehicle up
the blue book price and looked at my finance paper work and found about $3000
difference. Upon returning to get the tires replaced and the fabric protect
applied I went back to the sales man and requested the the keys he said "
that used vehicle only come with what you get." So, I talked with the sales
manger, he said," He would give me a used remote but I should go to a camp
supply store to get the key for the shell. I also ask him about the carfax and
blue book price of the vehicle he stated we don't do this for all vehicle only
if you were to buy it. I still waiting for the carfax. I also ask him about
the 3000 dollar difference in the bluebook and sell price he just blew me off.
I talked with the service department about a speaker that was blown he told
me that it had to come out of denver and cost $201. upon returning to to get
the rest of my vehicle done (the under coating) I asked about the speaker he
stated that the sale department didn't won't to pay for it. But, he said for
me to to talk to them. So, I talked to the the sales manger again he said,"
I have a wrecked truck coming in today and we can get the service department
to get one of the speakers out and put it in yours (that was on 1/20/07 and
I am still waiting) If I could i would take this Vehicle Back because of the
sales people there and their lies. I would also tell anyone that deals with
Carlin if you Buy a used vehicle there to have them put one statement on a I
owe you statement is anything that goes wrong with this vehicle in the first
90 days that carlin will fix at there cost. With out this they will only say
to you bought it. I just tried the the air just to se if it works and it just
blow hot air (like the sales people at carlin) but its not cover by the the
ext. warranty or be the 90 day warranty Carlin gives.
Did carlin go down hill that fast after Mr Carlin sold it to the new owners?
I have been told under the old owners all of this would have
been fixed.

As a member of TDR, I was well aware of the potential problems with the VP44
fuel pump on my 2002 Dodge Cummins Ram. I took the vehicle in with obvious signs
of injection pump trouble, and the pump was replaced under warranty, without
hassles. Not only that, they had the VP44 pump in stock, so the work was completed
the same day! I highly recommend Carlin's service department to all Cummins
powered Ram owners.

Carlin Dodge is a great dealership to go to if you want to buy a Dodge. I am
crazy over Dodge Rams, so I thought I would
go and check it out. It turns out the salesperson was really, really nice, and
cared about my problems
and concerns about Dodge. overall, I would say that Carlin Dodge is the best
car/truck dealership in all of Colorado!
Buy a Dodge Ram 1500! They're GREAT!!!!

I have owner both a Toyota and a Chevy and the reason I dropped them was BAD
service! Cariln Dodge has made a huge difference in the way I feel toward dealerships
for service.
To me all cars and trucks are about the same good/bad, things can and will go
wrong, but if a dealer takes good care of it's customers that in it self makes
the difference. We love our vehicles when they work and hate them when they
don't, so if you get them fixed right and fast and affordable there is much
love in the world. I believe Carlin Dodge does this well.

Sales=Fair, Service=Avoid, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
I bought my 1997 Neon (LEMON) from Carlin Dodge two and a half years ago. Since
then I've put over $3000 in repairs into the vehicle, ($2000+ at the dealership
alone) And I am still getting the run-around on what they call "5-star
service guarantee". I've been to Carlin Dodge 4 times for the same oil
leak. They originally misdiagnosed my oil leak as a POWER STEERING pump problem,
$800 and 1 week later the car leaks oil again. This time its the crankshaft,
they machine the part and tell me it was a head gasket problem, sometime later
the engine had to be rebuilt (new bearings, seals, etc...) Months later the
car leaks oil from the cam seal, Carlin Dodge replaced the seal and all problems
were fixed until recently. Recently I had to take it there a FIFTH time because
the rear main seal is leaking (a part they replaced 1 year and 2 months ago);
they told me there was nothing they could do thanks to the 12,000 mile 1 year
warranty they now mention -not the "5-star service guarantee". (Mind
you when the cam seal was replaced there was over 40,000 miles between service
dates, and I never had a problem then). So I drive away from the service center
and when I get home I look under the car, of course, several bolts are missing
or left loose, bolts that hold together my engine mount and transmission cover/support.
I still have yet to return my car to Carlin Dodge for repairs. As of right now
I'm afraid of what could happen to my car next if I ever dare bring it back
to Carlin Dodge. This is just one of MANY problems I've had with this dealership,
I didn't even mention how the reverse switch they replaced doesn't work after
1 year, or how they quoted me $3900 for a new transmission when a bolt on the
frame was loose, or when they had to replace the pieces they broke under the
hood!
Apparently a 5-star service guarantee does NOT mean anything past 1 year or
12,000 miles.

I purchased the truck new from Carlin Dodge. They were very informative during
the selection process, and were very patient as we made up our mind on our purchase.
All commitments were fulfilled. During the service on the truck it has been
very professional, and knowledgeable. Early on there was a brake issue that
was taken care of promptly. They stand above other shops in their willingness
and integrity to get the job done correctly for the customer.

Salesman was a liar but I reckon that's typical. Service department - the people
were very polite but took them 3 visits to fix an electrical problem.

Have a 6 speed that grinds upshifting into third. Brought it into Carlin, was
told they could not duplicate problem, but that the truck didn't have many miles
on it anyway and that it would break in. 15,000 miles later, it's still doing
it.

Sales=Good, Service=Poor,
Brought in my CTD for overheating problems while towing. Was told they could
not duplicate problem, even with a 84 mile test drive at speeds over 80 mph!
Was also told to bring truck in with camper and trailer on board so they could
do some more testing- yeah, RIGHT! Finally ended up buying and installing another
thermostat at NAPA, which fixed the problem. 5 Star Dealer?? You can keep them!

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent,
Over the past few years, I have taken both my 1997 Ram and recently my Durango
for service at Carlin Dodge. With the Durango, there were some troubles getting
the right parts in good condition. The service department stuck with it and
had the parts expressed and installed at my convenience. Good old fashioned
customer care! Thanks Carlin Dodge! It is a pleasure to do business with a company
that does what it takes.

Sales Dept. very good- we test drove several new trucks to compare, they dickered
prices with us and came in $2500 lower than Perkins, and the whole process took
2.5 hours to drive our new truck home. Service Dept. good- took truck in 3 days
after sale for steering wander they re-aligned front end and got it back within
2 hrs. Later had mudflaps installed and they took pains to get them on straight,
also within 1.5 hrs.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
Took my truck in to get the PCM flashed, and several other things and when I
got it back, the transmission was slipping, bad. It was not slipping when I
took it in so I know it was something they done. They tried to say it was due
to the fact that I had not serviced the transmission yet (truck has 37,000 mi
and transmission was due servicing at 24,000, but was over due due to a 6,000
road trip over the holidays). I know that this was not the cause of the slipping
due to the fact I know Ram owners with over 70,000 + miles and have never serviced
the transmission and theirs don't slip. Also, the day after picking up my truck,
I noticed the spoiler on my front bumper was broken and severely damaged. I
took it back and showed it to them and they replaced it with no questions asked,
but I think it is really common to damage a persons vehicle and not have the
guts to tell the service manager and get it repaired so the owner doesn't have
to find it. I don't think it was damaged on purpose, but if they knew it was
damaged, they should have fixed it instead of trying to cover it up.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Good,
They identified and fixed the problem, but treat truck owners like lower class
compared to cars- have to go to building "in the back" and try &
track down somebody to help you...
top-notch
service even when I had not purchased vehicle thru them
