The first time I went in to Look at a Megacab diesel. after driving one with
the 5.9L CTD, I explained i wanted to order the 6.7L with 6sp auto. They said
they didn't have any yet. I explained that I understood but I wanted to order
one from the factory. they said they could not do that and I would have to wait
or buy one they had on the lot. I went home and called an in dependant dealership
in Red Bluff Ca. they placed the order that day!! they gave me the FWP pricing
and told me about available discounts (FB)and ordered the truck I want. Lithia
lost a sure sale.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor, Parts=Fair, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Maybe,
Lithia Dodge and I go back appox. three years. They performed service on my
1999 Dodge 4x4 Truck. At 34,000 miles my transmission needed replacement and
under warranty it was replaced. At 71.000 miles My differential failed. Still
under Warranty they replaced it. At 72,000 miles both heads on the truck had
to be replaced. Three cracks one head, one crack other head. At 82,00 miles
my ABS sensor caused a light to go in at the dash. Found large amount of shavings
in the differential. Rebuilt the rear differential a second time. Could not
fix the ABS problem. Told me the computer was bad and since I had passed the
75,000 mile extended warranty it was not covered and it would cost $520.00 to
replace the computer. At 111,000 the differential failed for the third time.
This time it took out the Drive Shaft the Transfer Case and there is a noise
coming from the Bell Housing, which means there is also a problem with the transmission.
Magnusen Dodge in Auburn was very congenial. Got me a rental car fast (this
was Friday afternoon), said they would look at the truck and work up a cost
estimate and have it for me Sat or Monday morning. They gave me an estimate
for repairs of $7200.00 but were not able to find previous History on the truck.
Had it towed 98 miles to Lithia Dodge Concord. Monday afternoon they told me
they would work up an estimate for repairs and call me. At 4 pm Tuesday I still
had not heard from them so I called the service Dept and got a message machine.
I left my name and number. They called appox an hour later and told me it would
cost $5995.00 to repair the vehicle which did not include any transmission work.
I told them I assume you are covering the repairs since this has been an ongoing
problem with the differential and this will be the third time it has to be replaced.
They said they would not cover the repairs since it was more than 12,000 miles.
I told them I cannot believe a differential can go out three times in a space
of some 20,000 miles. A differential should last at least 200,000 miles I have
taken this up with BAR Dept. of consumer affairs and am waiting to hear from
them. I will never do business with this dealership again. They do not stand
behind there repair work for ongoing problems and if you go past your warranty
period they will not take care of any repair although it was previously repaired
twice by this dealership.
This Dealership should be avoided. If you need repair work go to another Dealership
for repairs and avoid Lithia Dodge of Concord for repairs.

When I was shopping for my new 2005 Magnum R/T, this was the closest dealership
to me. I stopped in for a visit. At first, I as not looking for an R/T. So we
decided we wanted to test drive a car. The wanted a copy of my license, which
was OK. We took a drive and liked the car. Keep in mind, I was paying CASH for
the car. We decided to go back and test drive the R/T. This time, they wanted
a copy of my license AND my phone number. I told the salesman that if I decided
to buy, I'd give him all the numbers that they wanted. But, for right now, I
would not release my phone number to anyone. At that point, he flatly refused
to allow us to drive a car! I was blown away to say the least. I reminded him
that I had cash and that his continued attitude would be a "deal breaker".
His response? "I really don't care."
Well, that did it. We drove off into the sunset determined to get the car of
our dreams. We finally found exactly the car we wanted at Swift Dodge of Sacramento.
I did the entire deal over the phone! All negotiations, everything. I went up
2 days later and with all the options, wrote out a check for nearly $40,000.00.
This salesman in Concord lost a very quick cash sale because of a poor attitude.
As I understand, this is NOT an isolated case. Avoid this dealership at all
costs unless you like to be insulted and pressured into a sale!
I'm very happy with the Magnum R/T and would recommend it to everyone.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
My truck was less than 2 years old, when it started dying, I would be going
down the freeway at 60 and bang it was dead, everything, I would wait about
15 min and then it would start up again. I figure ok no problem I'm covered
under warranty. When i purchased the vehicle i told them i wanted the best extended
warranty they had so they sold me a " after market " warranty that
was not a Chrysler warranty. To start off with I was approx. 45 miles away from
the Lithia dealership and there were two other dealerships closer that I could
take it to (5 minutes away) but with their "best warranty" if I was
within 50 miles I had to take it back to them, and could not take it to any
other dealership. Next I did take my truck back to them (1 hour and 15 min.
with traffic)I told them what was happening and they said they would look at
it but I had to pay a "Diagnostic fee in case it was not a warranty problem.
I told them its some electronic I'm not a mechanic but its not hard to tell.
They wouldn't look at it until I signed the authorization with the fee that
would be refunded if it was under warranty. I signed figuring no problem it
will be covered under warranty. They took the car out for a test drive a couple
of times and said it didn't die on them and they couldn't find the problem.
I told the it had happened to me on three separate occasions the week before
and keep the truck until they could find the problem they kept it for three
days said they couldn't find the problem, come pick my truck up. I told them
keep it until they found the problem and they refused. I went to pick up my
truck after arguing with them that something IS wrong, but they still wouldn't
listen and they and to get my truck I had to pay the diagnostic fee. I went
to the cashier paid by check got my keys walked out front called my bank put
a stop payment on the check went back in filled out a page and a half complaint,
told them I cancelled the check and to have a customer rep call me if they wanted
money. I also told the cashier what I done and to please have the customer rep
call me, gave her my name and # on a separate paper. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME!!!
And to top it off the truck died on me the next morning on the way to work.
The next week I traded the truck in for a FORD. The year and a half I had the
truck it was a good truck but when there was a problem Lithia Dodge of Concord
would not back up their truck. I came to find out later that the dealership
gets a kick back on the after market extended warranties but they are NOT the
better warranty and are not honored like a Chrysler warranty.
Because of my experience at Lithia I have told every one I know don't buy there.
Lithia did not only loose my service, but a lot of other people I talked to!!!I
wont say they would have bought there but I can say they DID NOT buy there after
I talked to them.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=No,
Spent three hours getting jerked around by a lying salesman who insisted the
truck we bought cost the dealership $500.00 more than every other equally equipped
truck on the lot because of increased labor costs, even though our truck was
built 2 months prior to the others! If my present truck hadn't been in need
of major and immediate transmission repairs, I'd have walked . We wanted a V8
& 5-speed and Dodge was the only one offering that package. I presently
need some minor work done under warranty but you can bet they won't be doing
it or any other work on my vehicle. What a bunch of losers.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent,
We shopped all over the bay area for a new ram truck. They had the best selection
and our salesperson was the best. No double talk and gave us the best price
up front. Most dealers had sold their ad trucks already when we shopped and
they had over 10 at the ad price. Have been shopping for 3 months before we
found them. Took in for service once and had really friendly and helpful people.
Best price and best selection - I shopped them all!

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor,
Had to take my car back to service dept. three times before the car was actually
fixed (under warranty). First two times, service dept. did not call to tell
me what was wrong with car, nor did they call me to tell me it was done. The
third time (after complaining about that!)the service dept. called me and very
quickly told me my car was done, and I could come get it. I had to ask what
the problems were, and problem #1 was a part that had been replaced 4 days before,
then second problem was something that should have been discovered the first
time in the shop. Service staff was short tempered, not wanting to explain the
problem, and when I asked a questions the man had a deep sigh before answering,
like I was bothering him.

Sales=Poor, Service=Don't Know,
Ordered a Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 on 2-6-99 and was told it would be ordered
the following Tuesday. One month later after 6 times leaving a message and 3
visits in person, I was given a vehicle order #. I called Dodge the next day
and was told the truck was ordered 3-15-99. This pisses me off because if I
received the truck by 4-5-99, I would have received 4.9% financing. Avoid dealing
with Bill Westbrook if you want to shop here!
