I have been lied to and cheated! They reset the check engine light immediately
before selling it to me. They never performed the pre inspection that they told
me they did on all vehicles. When my truck broke down less than 3 months after
I bought it, I insisted on written proof of this inspection, because the truck
has so many problems I new that it hadn't been done. They told my that they
had not done it because they had assumed it was done by the previous owner!
Furthermore they have refused to do it now..."because they will not fix
the problems that might come up! Thank god we bought the warranty! I will be
seeking legal help this week!
I strongly recommend that you ask for proof of anything that they tell you..in
writing! I was told that my first service visit the deductible would be waved...but
now that the guy who sold me the vehicle is no longer working there..they didn't
honor his word. They reset the engine light..which came on three days after
I had the truck...the transmission was bad ...and the exhaust "charcoal
can" was broken when it was sold to me! Of course they didn't do the presales
inspection that they told me was so great when they wanted me to buy the truck!
Or they might have know this!

I brought my car in for a tire rotation and oil change. I also asked their "Viper
mechanic" if he could pinpoint the cause of a creaking noise behind the
dash. When I picked up the car the noise was still there and now the car was
pulling to the right. I took it back for an alignment. They called me up later
that day and said they had the car on the rack, got the pre-alignment specs,
but wouldn't have enough time to do the work today because they were closing.
When I went to pick it up the service advisor, William Staysa, charged me $156
for a full alignment. His argument was that "aligning the car is the easy
part...finding out how bad of an alignment the car needs is what takes all the
work". I waited for the charge to post to my account and then disputed
it with the blessings of DCX customer service. I will never let anybody at Hayward
Dodge touch my car again.

Sales=Good, Service=Don't Know,
Great sales experience. In and out in less than 2 hours. Price was as advertised
and received extra package for free. Only problem was with finance guy who tried
to tell me that he could not accept payment from my bank until I had paid 1
month's worth of interest on their financing. I explained the law and my right
to pay off loan within 10 days and everything was fine. Great experience and
would recommend them to my friends.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
I'm from Lake Tahoe (near Reno) and normally have my truck serviced at Reno
Jeep/Chrysler (GREAT dealer!!) or Carson Dodge/Chrysler (also great!). I work
in the Bay Area, and HAD to get the oil changed on my '99 3500QC 4x4 5-spd before
towing up to Washington that weekend. I took the truck to Hayward Dodge based
on the fact that they are a 5-star dealer (hah!). To start off with their labor
rate is $90/hour; I had my Audi S4 serviced at the Porsche/Audi dealer in Marin
for $75/hour a few weeks earlier!!! Second, I had made an appointment the day
before, and they said it would only take about a half hour and I can wait for
it; well I get there and they said they need the truck for half the day!! I
told them no way, and got on them to get it done since I had an appointment.
Once they got it done, the grand total came out to $94 for JUST an oil and filter
change!!! The worst part has yet to come; when I went to fill up with diesel
and checked the oil, I found they had left the oil cap sitting on the core support
and oil had spewed all over the engine compartment!! The same numbskull that
did the oil change had also proceeded to grind the tranny going into 1st gear
when he drove the truck off. Needless to say I'm not exactly pleased with the
level of service at Hayward Dodge. Having experienced several "5-star" dealers,
Hayward Dodge and Reno Dodge must have paid off somebody at DC to get the rating!!!
Go somewhere else if you can! Hayward Dodge and Reno Dodge are very unprofessional
and are frankly looking to screw the customer over!

Sales: Have been to Hayward dodge, they can burn to the ground! Service: they
try to blame tranny failure on high rpm neutral to drive engagement. they lied
to me while the truck was in their care, they told me the tech had the tranny
spread out across the bench. I then asked how i was just able to drive it around
their back lot then? when I asked for the old parts, I was told they were sent
to Detroit for failure analysis.

Sales=Avoid, Don't Know,
Can not even get out of your car across the street and the sales people are
coming at you. When you make arrangements with one, so you can look another
sales person attacks and don't care that you already talked with someone else.
They are the worst of the dealers I went to.
