Beware!! Do Not Buy A Vehicle From Diamond DOdge Flagstaff! A sales manager
for Diamond Dodge Flagstaff "Hit and Run" my classically restored
1979 VW Bus. He is my neighbor. He was drunk, smashed the rear end of my rear
engine VW Bus in a Diamond Dodge fleet vehicle. He sped away, had his friend
drive the fleet vehicle away and ran inside his house. My neighbor luckily saw
what happened as this looser would never have admitted responsibility. When
I confronted him, nothing but lies. The dealership owner's son came out and
threatened me, and was a total jerk. I had to call the cops, and sue the individual
as well as the dealership to get a penny from them. Everyone at Diamond Dodge
of Flagstaff Arizona treated me like I had done something wrong to them. Be
especially wary of sales manager James Harris, Dealership owner's son Darryl
Sacks, as they are rude and cannot be trusted. They are ill behaved spoiled
brats who do not take responsibility for their actions. I would NEVER buy a
car from these guys!!!!!! Beware!!!!

Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
We took our 2004 Dodge Dakota to the dealership on a Tuesday as it needed a
new transmission and was still under our extended service contract. Unfortunately,
this dealership is the only one in our area, and as we had a Daimler Chrysler
Extended Service Contract we had to go to a dealer.
We were told by the Service Manager that we would receive a phone call that evening with a diagnosis. No phone call. We called the following day, Wednesday, and was told we would have a diagnosis that day and they would call us. No phone call. We called around 5 pm and was told that the tech had gone home for the day. We called Thursday morning and was told we needed a new transmission (DUH) and they would call the warranty company for authorization for the parts and for a rental vehicle for us, order the parts with a trace attached, and call us back. No phone call. We called that afternoon and (after having an unnecessary conversation with the service contract folks which is another story) we got a vehicle approved for 5 days, meaning it would have to be returned the following Monday.
We called Friday morning and was told the transmission ought to be delivered Sunday night or Monday morning and we would get a call Monday morning. No phone call. We called Monday afternoon and was told there are no deliveries on Sunday or Monday and basically were called liars for reiterating what our service advisor had told us. We called the service contract folks to get an extension on the rental and was told that an extension is only for parts on backorder and our part did not qualify. We called the service manager back at the dealership and was basically told 'too bad.' After a heated argument, the service manager said he would pay for a one-day extension on the rental and promised us a loaner vehicle for Wednesday. Now, of course, when we initially brought our vehicle in, we were told they don't offer loaner vehicles, period after we expressed concern that the service would take longer than the amount of time we could keep our rental vehicle. Now we are told they have 3 loaners, but they are all out, and one is due back Wednesday.
Today is Tuesday. We called this morning for status on the transmission and was told we would be called back. No phone call. We called early afternoon. The part isn't in, but the service manager said he would run a trace and call us back. No phone call. We called back Tuesday evening and was told by the service manager that the part ought to be in Thursday or Friday and that it takes 4-5 days to ship from Michigan to Los Angeles and then 2 more days to reach Arizona. Why, then, we ask, were we given repeated misleading and false information? We were then told by the service manager that he would extend the rental vehicle for us; however, we had already returned it as trying to get a one-day extension seemed too problematic for him in the first place. We are now promised a loaner for tomorrow (Wednesday) and further told by the service manager that "even if there isn't one available, he would get us a car until our truck is done" - completely opposite what he originally told us.
We are wondering what the next obstacle will be, and have resolved to never deal with this dealership again.
We have already filed a complaint with Daimler Chrysler regarding this and
to cover ourselves should the service department ruin our vehicle, as well as
with the Better Business Bureau.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know, bought there=No, scv_there=No,
Interestingly enough this complaint doesn't stem from a purchased vehicle. I
am a small business and supplier of promotional items to various industries.
I distribute all over Arizona with very few problems. This dealer ordered some
buttons from me for a promotion that one of their finance mgr/salesman was running.
A couple of month later after refusing to pay my paltry invoice <$200 I was
told the the person was no longer there and that they had no intention of paying
the bill. The sales manager/owners son, and sidekick were rude vulgar and threatening
to my salesperson that was only trying to resolve the issue. Looks as thought
the owner and family of this dealership are real sleezers. Be VERY wary of doing
any business with them. YUK!!!

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
DO NOT BUY OR HAVE YOUR CAR SERVICED AT DIAMOND DODGE IN FLAGSTAFF!! We own
a Dodge Neon, that we bought in NY state We had no major problems until we started
to bring our car to Diamond Dodge in Flagstaff, Arizona. Both the Service Manager
and Director have been consistently rude, condescending, dishonest, and crooked.
This company has the poorest customer service I have ever experienced. They
are horrible and incompetent there. It began with a starting problem that did
not get fixed, although we brought it in 5 times. Recently, the head gasket
was leaking oil. We brought it in three times for the problem. The first time
we got it back, it still leaked. The second, they replaced a valve cover, it
still leaked. The third, the oil didn't appear to be leaking but once the car
turned off - it was dead. The tow truck person said it was an alternator problem,
caused by the service people moving things around in the engine to get to the
head gasket. Our service contract only allows the car to be towed to the nearest
dealer - who was Diamond Dodge. They had had our car for 3 days, we got it back
and it was dead. The Service Manager called and told us it was only a battery
problem and charged us $ 100.00 for the part and service. He told us the alternator
would not have to be touched in any way to get to the head gasket and that they
couldn't be sure if our old battery was bad and killed the alternator without
putting in a new battery. The next day, the electricity turned on and off, the
next the air conditioner was gone, then the power steering, followed by a loud
clanking noise. Diamond Dodge refuses to reimburse us. Chrysler refuses to reimburse
us because Diamond Dodge is an independently owned dealer. If it had been printed
anywhere in the literature that I looked at before buying my car that: "The
Chrysler Corporation refuses to accept any responsibility for the actions, misconduct,
poor customer service, and crooked business behaviors of independently owned
dealers" I would never have bought a Dodge. I never will again. We somehow got
the car to the next closest dealer, an hour away. But, we have to pay for 5
days of a rental car until they can fit it into their schedule. The car is undrivable
and that's the best Chrysler can do. We will be out over $300.00 for this and
counting, and Chrysler accepts no responsibility. If you still decide to buy
a Chrysler - just make sure the dealer isn't independently owned because if
they rip you off, Chrysler won't do anything to help you.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
The service department is bad. I have a 95 2500hd w/ 16000 miles. The truck
is showroom quality. After a so called recall for the charcoal gas canister,
the internal windshield panel was broke and the heater vent switch was missing.
I also found several scratch marks on the drivers side of the truck (It is a
4x4 and I expect it to get scratched by vegetation not by the jerk working on
it.). When confronted they just blew me off and said it was already broken.
(Truck only had 14500 miles at the time. 2) The paint on the cab of some of
the truck is peeling. My had started to peel in 1998 with 8000 miles and they
told me to wait for the recall, which I did. Finally in 2000 I demanded that
my truck be painted. They told me that since the truck is 5 years old it is
out of warranty and that dodge would not pay any amount. After my attorney talked
to them they offered to pay $350 of the bill, but only the paintshop they recommended
could do the work. (I wouldn't let them paint my nails) Remember this truck
is in showroom condition. I use it to drive my handicapped father when there
is snow/ice on the road, around town, and off to the lakes to fish. 3) Diamond
Dodge is also into ripping off jeep owners. Although this is for Dodge Truck
let it be know that this dealership did a gas tank recall #624 fuel tank gasket.
1st time they replaced the gasket. To do this they need to drop the gas tank.
When I picked up the Jeep My inspection found several nuts and bolts missing
from the skidplate and straps that hold the gas tank in place. I pointed this
out and was told that they are not needed..???What? two months later fuel was
gushing out the side of the tank, and returned to the dealership. They dropped
the tank and told me that the gas tank need to be replaced and that I needed
to pay for the work. This was not under warranty. B.S.!!!! Took the jeep home
and a few weeks later the gas tank started to gush gas out the top of the tank.
3 times a charm. I had the gas tank pulled at a different shop and you will
not believe what was found. This is a gas tank gasket that was a recall. It
looked like an old gasket, with old hardware! used to repair the tank. AND!!!
they used silicone to seal the whole job together. At this time I have been
informed that ALL recall work is free to the consumer, and that ALL DEALERSHIP
MUST MAKE ALL REPAIRS UNTIL THEY GET IT RIGHT. The recall was corrected and
chalk up the rest for my stupidity. BEWARE. This is the only Dodge dealership
in Flagstaff and they will rip you off. Sending you away driving in an unsafe
auto. BEWARE.

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
I bought a 2001 ram 4x4 from them. After 600 miles the check engine light came
on, There service adviser Cindy advised just to drive it until it goes out.
800 miles right front shock bushing failure, they had no shock/ dents on hood,
I was told several times that this would be corrected, it's been over a year
and no correction or call back was ever made, Put down a 2000.00 cash down payment,
They called me in a month saying I had put nothing down, lucky I had the receipts.
1999 dodge Dakota / bed out of line 1 1/2" / tranny noise / 4 out of round tires
/ all the lug nut covers flew off / numerous hoses and wires not loomed correctly
and or not secured. The salesman are liars and the service dept is worse, These
people must be training to lie to people, Oh yeah, If you want a free tank of
gas , complain to the owner in the dodge boys boots, you won't get your truck
fixed but you will get a tank of gas a compliment on how nice the bed of your
truck look.
