The reason why I am filling out this survey is not because of my car (2006 Dakota).
I understand that cars do need repair at times, but Gene's has no customer service
skills. They kept my vehicle for over 2 weeks and didn't want to accept my warranty.
I went to another repair place and within the week they had my car fixed and
they also had the warranty pay for the repairs. Gene's didn't return my calls
and when I got the report on what was wrong with it, it was incomplete and inaccurate.
They are the worst dealer here in town, and employees from Gene's Chrysler will
vouch for it. I do not recommend them to anyone.

Sales=Good, Service=Poor, Parts=Poor, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
Bought my car in 2005 and I received excellent service UNTIL this year 2008.
The Service Department fixed my car by putting back on broken parts, not informing
me of this occurrence. Then not ordering the correct parts and rescheduling
for me to bring my vehicle back in so they could complete the 1st shabby repair.
Now my car is back in 3 months later and instead of treating me like a valued
customer refused to acknowledge their error which I have in writing on a repair
invoice from their shop. The Managers answer was "Oh I wasn't here in March"
Really is that how a Manager should be treating a customer! It has now been
a week and my service contract says they would put me in a rental car which
we usually rent from Gene's. Oh what a surprise they don't have any for me to
rent. My Husband called yesterday to find out the status of my car. What a surprise
they only have 2 of the 6 parts to fix my car. Are they going above and beyond
to make me feel like a satisfied customer. NO NO NO would be the answer. Once
my 70,000 miles is up and I no longer have to go to Genes I will choose never
to give them my business again. I will repeat my story of bad service to all
my friends. Actually some of them have had the same joyful service as me. Perhaps
they will burn themselves and realize that customers are sort of important to
their business. Not sure what kind of car I will buy next time but I will shop
around and find the best hassle free service department.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Excellent, bought there=No,
I noticed all the, "It took two weeks to repair" comments and had to justify
why. If you live in a town that only has 1 Dodge dealership, and there are numerous
Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep vehicles in the area, don't you kind of expect to
have a little wait? And don't they try to make the appts at a convenient time?
They did for me. Yeah I had to wait for the parts to come in, and I had to wait
my fair amount of time, but they were honest, fixed the problems and even showed
me what exactly was wrong, not just told me and expected me to understand. I
live in Fairbanks and will continue to support my local dealer.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent,
Good service department. Reliable guys and honest. Sometimes in winter it takes
a bit to get in for work. Good deal on the oil changes only 24.95. Cheaper then
rippylube who use junky filters. Best diesel guy in the state, Vern is a real
mechanic. My truck never ran better after he worked on it. These guys try hard
to satisfy people, from other comments around people take it to Gene's or they
do it themselves. Prices are fair and sales staff is helpful. Service writers
and manager are good and approachable.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
Had truck for almost 2 weeks, called on first day to tell me caliper bolts were
gone. The just charged me $300 three months prior for a brake job. Told me it
would be a week to get new bolts. Also they replaced a leaking radiator and
ball joints on both sides. While driving it home, the engine overheated. There
was no anti-freeze in the radiator! Dealer had vehicle towed back to dealership
to be looked at again.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
Took 2 weeks to get an appointment for them to fix my transmission problem,
truck dies in reverse. All they did was reset my engine light and told me nothing
was wrong (no codes in computer). Right out of there driveway the light comes
back on, problem with the truck dying was still there. Another 2 weeks go buy
for an appointment. The same thing happens..!!!!. I found on the internet the
OBDII diagnostic codes and found my truck would blink the code "23" which was
the "no lockup on low rpm" or something like that. I was so furious when they
told me it would be another 2 weeks for repair, I blew up. Finally they took
me in that day, and I presented all the information I found. They looked at
me like I was some sort of idiot. Then my truck was fixed, go figure. I have
other occurrences and friends with equally disturbing stories. One buddy takes
his truck all the way to Anchorage to have it serviced, won't even talk to Gene's
anymore.

Very dissatisfied with the service department. Totally unwilling to work with
me to solve a warranty dispute. Claimed that my truck could not be fixed under
warranty even though it only had 11000 miles. The maintenance department told
me it would be three weeks before they would look at the problem. After repeated
calls to Chrysler they looked at the truck and said they would not fix it.
