the model we wanted is still available)..... you will end up like ruining your

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid, bought there=No, scv_there=Yes,
I am an active off-road user of my truck and I know WHAT something is and WHAT
is wrong when I take it to the dealer. I have always had great service with
my truck but when I took it to Eastside they %#^$ed me. I went there knowing
exactly what was wrong and told them to replace the parts. My warranty book
even lists the parts as covered under the basic powertrain warranty (hub and
bearing assemblies). They printed of the sheet for a 2wd truck and tried to
tell me that is was not covered I then told them to print the sheet for a 4wd
truck and they then told me that it was still not covered I was very calm and
not yelling but I wanted to and ended up having to pay over $600 to get the
parts that had I been here would have been covered. The service manager is a
RETARD and the service department has NON-TECH's there that take your keys and
try and tell you what is wrong and they look like they have never even seen
a LUG NUT before.
While I was there, a woman was there that had just bought a used minivan and
was very bitter that the warranty covering it was going to cover the parts that
needed to be replaced the DAY AFTER SHE PICKED UP THE VAN. She was quite irate
and I would have been too in her situation. She was showing them the 150 point
inspection that had "BEEN DONE BEFORE" the sale of the van clearing it of any
work required, which was not the case after the purchase. They were trying to
get her to pay the $2300 in repairs from her own pocket.
I will never deal with them again....

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
I had been dealing with this dealer for several years and over the course of
the last 6 years I found the service to to be getting worse and worse. Every
time I took my vehicle there for service, it seemed to be a contest to see who
could leave the most dirt and grime on my car. I'm very particular about my
vehicles and I keep them very clean, but whenever one of Eastside's goons gets
under the hood or inside of the vehicle, I have to get it cleaned after I pick
it up. I stopped using their service department when they tried to charge me
$700.00 to change the battery ground cable. The cable was $10.00, the rest was
labor. This was a 5 minute job that took their mechanic 7 hours to find the
problem. I told them what the problem was when I dropped the vehicle off. What
a bunch of incompetent dolts. I took my wife's minivan there for some routine
maintenance and when I picked it up there was a severe fuel leak that wasn't
there when I dropped it off. It seems that one of their morons had disconnected
the fuel line and hadn't bothered to properly secure it causing fuel to spew
out all over the engine. You could smell it as soon as you started the car.
When I complained to the service manager, he told me I could buy a new car from
them with the insurance settlement if the car caught fire. I wouldn't deal with
these clowns again if my life depended on it. They must have gotten their 5
star rating out of a popcorn box.

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
We were going to purchase a truck at Eastside Dodge but after being told that
we should not purchase a Manual transmission vehicle because women should not
drive standards, we declined the purchase. My wife who is a farm girl and has
not driven anything but a standard just about bit the guys head off. Later we
had an opportunity of experiencing Eastsides service department. BAD IDEA!!!
We broke down two blocks from the dealership so we took it there and we needed
a new transfer case ($2300.00). Picked it up and left the dealership and a few
months later we needed another one (due to incompetent work). It was to be on
warranty and we had a bit of a fight over it but nothing major. They took 3
1/2 weeks to fix and when we picked it up it was picked clean. All our belongings
were stolen from tools, jack, coat, tapes, etc. There was nothing left for us
not even our tool box that was in the back(3ft by 4ft box). The police said
that this wasn't the first complaint about the dealership but there was not
a lot they could do but file a report. It was not settled but I told Eastside
that I would never buy a vehicle from them and I would tell everyone I know
about the incident. Do not shop EASTSIDE DODGE

Diesel needed some fuel pump work. Because I was busy, I had the truck in to
be fixed. Also requested oil change and engine shampoo. I traveled all the way
across town because this is supposedly the best shop around for diesels. When
truck was picked up, fuel pump was working well. Engine shampoo was NOT performed,
and I was charged for it. Calling and complaining ended up being hung up on.
Entire oil change was simply forgotten; admitted by service tech. and then ignored.
EXTREME amounts of dirt and mud inside cab of truck; floor badly needed a cleaning
after this visit. I will NEVER visit again.

Don't buy from Eastside if can help it. They don't give the feeling that the
customer is always right. The sales are very pushy and the service department
can't seem to get it right. I am not happy with eastside and plus there service
prices are 15 -25 % higher than everyone in the city. Every time I went for
service my back goes up just waiting for a fight, so I left for another dealer
that isn't even 5 star and they treat me like gold. Eastside, a 5 star, what
was Chrysler thinking.

RUN, RUN, RUN. The service department is terrible. I took my van in for recall
work that was suppose to take a few hours, that took a day and a half. MORONS!!!
Service manager was completely rude and didn't accept responsibility to their
mistakes.

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
Bought a 1995 Dodge Dakota (used) from Eastside. Even though I felt they gave
me a decent trade in allowance for my car; when I went to pick up the vehicle
(I made it clear to them the exact date I would be dropping off the trade in
vehicle for the Dak) I basically wasted an entire day waiting around for them
to prepare my truck while I waited in the used car showroom. They were supposed
to do a light detailing of the vehicle, but made an excuse saying their detailing
guys were busy and they couldn't clean out my vehicle that day, so I got the
salesman to wash my truck for me. The salesman was sociable, but rather pushy.
He kept hinting to me that if I don't close the deal right away, the truck would
be sold to another person quickly.
Eastside did do some work on the truck before putting on the
lot for sale, and the work done was rather extensive. On the other hand, the
work was done rather shoddy. Eastside did put new tires on the truck, but the
tire weights on the front wheels where not placed on the rims firmly and I lost
most of them within a week. The brakes were done but were not lubricated, so
coming to a stop would cause the brakes to squeal extremely loud. I noticed
on the work invoice a tuneup was not done, and they claimed the truck did not
need one. BS ! The truck was badly in need of one. As well, Eastside's checklist
claimed the transmission was OK, indicating no service was required, but when
I took it into another dealer (Courtesy), they were aghast that the transmission
fluid was so dark and burnt smelling they insisted on doing a transmission service
(replacing the fluid, screen, adjusting the bands); now the tranny works extremely
well and downshifts like it is supposed to.
As well, I inquired about Master Shield for the truck, and
the finance manager wrote on the back of his business card that he would be
able to offer me the Master Shield (full package) for 495 CDN, incl. GST. I
tried contacting him two times shortly after my purchase to set up a date to
apply the Master Shield, and in both cases he has failed to return my call and
sounded like he was in denial of putting forth such an offer.
These guys are a bunch of jokers and I would personally never, ever, deal with
them again in the future.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
DC wanted my truck to go there...they had a non-qualified tech working on my
diesel...pulling parts spilling stuff, grease all over the interior and cd's
missing. Got a call the truck was fixed...NOT! They left my truck outside with
the windows open and it rained. Then another tech got involved with a major
attitude. Scraped up the dash and the truck was never fixed and I took it to
Cummins. I was lied to and when I was in the service Dept waiting area I had
the luxury of listening to the techs and the service writer bad mouth me. They
figured out who I was. DC boasted that this is their best diesel repair outlet...makes
me scared.

My experience with Eastside Dodge was truly a relief! From my initial purchase
right through my three years of ownership I have never once felt let down! Clearly
people who CARE!

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
Didn't buy there because of overly pushy sales. They soaked us for 3500
dollars on repairs to 81 imperial We ended up with a trunk full of "intermittent
fuel injection parts", and a car that went in with an idling problem turned
into a car that didn't run at all.. They delivered to us on a tow truck.
