I purchased a used vehicle from this dealer, and after being shown all the inspections
done on the vehicle, and the work slips for the work completed on the vehicle...
they encouraged me not to purchase the extended warranty, as with all this work
just being done why would I need it.
Well in hind sight I will tell you why, within 24 hours I had the hood up on
the car, there was a blown head gasket. I contacted the dealer and stated this
information, and they informed me that was to bad for my luck...after arguing
with them for several days, they finally agreed to fix the
problem. This was not the end of my dealings with them, no just the beginning.
Within two weeks after that I noticed that the car was not running as normal,
when I would fuel up with gas the car would refuse to start for about an hour,
and sometimes stalling at intersections. I contacted the
dealership again to ask them to look at my car, they took it into the shop and
told me that they could not see any problem as the car was not acting up for
them, furthermore the owner himself told me that he personally went along for
a ride in my car with the mechanic to fuel it up and it did not act up. Which
was kind of odd considering that the sales man that I dealt with also told me
the same story. Things were not adding up, after all the stresses of being yelled
at in rush hour traffic, being late for work, being stuck at the pump for an
hour after fueling, not being able to get the sitters on time to pick up the
children, I became very upset at the dealership, and pleaded with them to please
fix the problem for me. I asked them to check the fuel pump which they out right
refused to do, and have got to the point where dealing with them is just worth
the stress. I will not ever purchase another vehicle from this dealership, and
I make sure that I tell everyone that I know about their terrible service.
Something should be done to ensure that others like me don't get taken for a
ride by dealerships like this. There should be a law that helps protect the
consumers when making deals like this, we put our trust in them to make a good
decision, and now I wonder if I would not have been better off to purchase something
privately off the street. I am sure that I would of had better luck with my
vehicle.
