Sales=Poor, Service=Don't Know, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=No, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
We bought a JGC there 5 months ago and had nothing but problems, we don't live in edmonton, but took this in to get serviced in red deer, now going back for the 2nd time to get fixed, since capital wont fix this which they sold us a complete lemon, very unprofessional staff, no call
backs, waited 7 hours and told to go home and they would call us in 2 hours, still no call, called them next day told, i would be put on priority and still haven't heard anything from them, wanted to trade this lemon they sold me in and something else, and basically want to make us lose over half the
cost of the vehicle for trade in in just 5 months, and 10,000 km on it, will not go there again, would never recommend anyone to go to them. And tomorrow will literally ask to speak to manager and then gonna ream him a new you know what. NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THESE GUYS

Sales=Poor, Service=Don't Know, Parts=Excellent, bought there=Yes, scv_there=No, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Maybe,
I think I may have hit the last straw here.

A friend of mine and myself went into Capital Dodge to buy two vehicles separately (him a Jeep and myself a Ram). My friend gets a decent deal, within his budget, but I feel slighted by the salesman. He focuses entirely on D, I get a thanks but come back later when you want to make a deal today. The sales manager meanwhile, comes up and offers a loaner for the night (great plus). We drive it out of there and at this point I'm pleasantly surprised with the Sales Mgr but not so much the sales.

I drop it off the next morning. I begin to negotiate and he comes in with ONE price, and 3 different payment options. All WAY too high. I say thanks but no. He shakes my hand, and says, well good-bye then, because this is the best price there is. I ask about the newspaper price to which the reply is that the price is only offered on ONE car with the same VIN. So basically it's a draw in and no one gets that price, even if it's still advertised.

I wait with D, who has been waiting through this torturous morning for 2+ hours awaiting word on his deal (he was told that morning financing was done and just to come in and pick up his vehicle). But the sales has shifted his focus onto me and D is getting shafted by sales on his status (can he leave, should he stay, thought this was done?). He comes back to me with a huge drop in price and says here's the deal, same Ram I wanted all along, same features, but apparently in 20 minutes since I was told to go home the price has come down almost 20%. I am pretty choked already at his heavy handed take it or leave it approach. I tell him I want the dealership to go 50/50 on side steps on it to make the deal happen. I explain that long term I want a box cover and liner but that it is cost prohibitive to do all three at once, so just the side step will do. He comes back in 2 minutes and it's a done deal. He explains the truck has more accessories (the TRX) and that I'll love it. I put down my deposit. I have to say, all night I felt uneasy about this drastically reduced price. What did I get? Why the huge drop? Did I miss seeing something on the paperwork like it was an older model or something? I didn't trust the sales at this point and felt like I may have almost sacrificed my deposit.

My gf and him plan to meet the next day to see the truck as it wasn't onsite at a set time, to which he is 30 minutes late! He even comes by at that point to say, would you mind waiting while I go fuel another vehicle. Another 15 minutes later he's back. We finally see the truck and it looks
good. I feel good about the deal. He still seems almost too slick but hey. Bonus, it has a box cover.

I sign the deal the next day with Sara. Super nice. Everything is quick and easy. Doesn't push anything but asks about the things she should (warranty etc). We drive out with a nice truck. She messes up the SN but the next day another financial person makes it right and is also nice to deal
with.

Fast forward, five days later. I get a call from J, the salesman. "How's the truck? How will you pay for the box cover?" Excuse me? Not ONCE did I ask to have a box cover put on. Not once did I agree to any other costs. Not once did I even come close to asking for anything extra to be added
on. In fact, I was VERY clear that I did not want ANY extras. I tell him it was my understanding, as well as my friend's, that the truck came with these accessories as per our discussions. I reiterate that at no time did I feel I should expect any additional invoice (to which he says he can get
me an invoice).

I know this is detailed, but there is a point. J could have easily screwed this up if I just dealt with his salesmanship. I wanted a deal, a certain truck, and a side step for my pregnant gf. He ignored me when I wasn't about to sign a deal on THAT specific day, is late for an appointment by a
considerable amount, calls to try and almost defraud me of extra $ for something I understood came with the truck, gets my buddy to wait for hours to get his Jeep (or word of it) so that he can pounce on a sale. Other than him, who felt TOO slick and salesy, the 3 finance people I dealt with and the
mgr were good. However, I would never buy another vehicle from here. ESPECIALLY with this ridiculous phone call 5 days later-

"How would you like to pay for the box cover that came with your truck?!" Wow. That's terrible.

The only bad thing about this dealership I had was service. I had a 1/2 inch stack of service invoices for my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee at this dealer alone. They outright lied to me about service and the vehicle 8 out of 10 times. This lemon had 8 complete brake jobs in 50,000 KM !!!
They were asked to change a simple brake lamp and couldn't even get that right. I had never given them attitude or problems, but they certainly gave it to me. I have never been handled so covertly and rude in my entire life at any dealership anywhere. They tried to cover up things and hide errors in
the work performed. In all fairness though I have bought 3 vehicles there and been extremely happy with the sales staff. We have since sold the lemon and still drive a JGC.
* 2 thumbs down for service.
* 2 thumbs up for sales.
* 2 thumbs up for the parts dept. One of the best anywhere for Jeep specific parts!

Avoid this dealership like the plague! We bought a van through them and were thoroughly ripped off. The day after we bought it, the van didn't work, and they refused to accept any responsibility. When they finally did work on it, they fixed three different things, three different times, and they never did fix the problem. Almost a year later our van rarely starts, and we've spent time and money trying to fix a problem they MUST have known about before they sold it to us. I will NEVER deal with them again, and I will tell all my friends to avoid them.

I used to deal with and bought a truck from one of the larger competitors in the city, and once I had it they forgot about me, but Capital was able to get me into the truck i wanted, and with no hassles. A couple days later there were a couple concerns I had about the truck, and they
addressed them asap and provided a courtesy vehicle with no questions asked. I have since been back for various little things and they have been awesome in solving these things. I will likely buy my next truck from them also.
The Cummins powered trucks come with their own special little quirks, not all of which are cheap fixes, but there are some excellent preventative options available in the aftermarket which few/no dealerships will tell you about, ie. The injector pumps are notoriously known for being a "bad" part, when in actuality the lift pump is the weak link, and it is what leads to the short service life of the injector pump, but there are a few options in the aftermarket to replace the lift pump and significantly increase the life of the injector pump. Put simply, don't be afraid of the aftermarket world, just choose your shop carefully, I have personally had amazing luck with North American Diesel Performance in Edmonton, they know how to make these trucks work and last.

I bought a 2001 ram 1500 and had to take the truck back for a proper clean-up,The rear glass was replaced and the broken glass was not cleaned up causing cuts to my daughters legs. At that time I complained about the truck pulling . The service Dept. looked at the truck (less than a week since purchase) and changed to front tires to the rear and the rear to the front.They failed to notice the treads were separating and the cords were showing.To fix this problem I spent $1100.00 on new tires.The dealership did not seem concerned. Also at this time I once again requested that the steering be re-checked. because of wandering.The service people reset the steering wheel to center and returned my vehicle.... I will be having the truck checked out by a local dodge dealership and not return to Capital Dodge

My experience with this dealership was great, they treated me with respect. I would go back to them for my next vehicle sale, my sales person was Willy, he is awesome! Very nice.

I have visited the dealership to have my Chrysler Sebring serviced. I did meet some of the sales staff and recommended a couple of my friends to purchase there. The service was great although it took a bit longer to get my car fixed than promised once. I will be back to have the car serviced there and plan to keep it for a long time.
